The traditional houses at Kalderimi Hotel offer true hospitality, unlike most other luxury hotels. The 11 houses offer breathtaking views of the blue sea and the Venetian castle of Astypalea, situated a few meters from the center of the island and just 400m from the Livadi beach.
A traditional handmade breakfast with the best and freshest products on the island is served at the hotel. Some of the daily choices for guests are: Hot village style bread and homemade pies, spoon sweets made on the premises and cookies made with virgin olive oil. Guests should try the house specialities made with traditional recipes: “Poughia” (fried cheese pies) with “myzithra” cheese of Astypalea, a pinch of cinnamon and honey. There are also “Labropites” (baked cheese pies), “loukoumades” (traditional doughnuts) sprinkled with sugar and cinnamon, “Pasta Flora” jam tart, orange pie and various cakes.
