Breakfast at our harbour-front patio is an unforgettable experience. A full American buffet breakfast will satisfy every guest’s taste but our pride is the “Greek Flag” dishes. We want our guests to have the opportunity to “taste” the local culture, to come closer to Kos and its people. So we use locally produced and oftenly organic ingredients, to create in-house, traditional delicacies that represent the special flavors for Kos.

The hotel’s Greek breakfast usually includes among others:

Red-wine soft cheese, feta cheese, locally grown olives, herb infused olive oil, farmer’s cheese, a wide selection of rye and whole-wheat flavoured rusks and breads, flatbreads, mint/rosemary/mountain teas, savory and sweet pies with homemade puff pastry, chalva and mayirya desserts,  marmelades and local fruit preserves.

The hotel’s breakfast puts emphasis on many local products like yoghurt, honey, fresh eggs, tomatoes, cucumbers and olives from the producers of Kos. Worth tasting is the homemade “tiganopsomo” (pancake) with feta cheese, and the freshly baked cake of the day. There are also cold cuts as well as fresh village style bread supplied by the neighborhood bakery. Breakfast also includes jams, cereals, butter, various types of coffee, Greek coffee and tea.

The Kolymbia Bay Art’s Greek breakfast includes Greek coffee, local honey, cream with mastic,, tomatoes with eggs (strapatsada), rose sparkling wine of Rhodes, fresh orange juice, aromatic olive oil, traditional “twisted kihi” phyllo pies, bitter orange spoon sweet, “loukoumades” (honey dumplings), semolina pudding (halva) and “fanouropita” pie of Aghio Oros.

The hotel’s rich breakfast buffet puts emphasis on Greek specialities. There is a wide variety of traditional breads, dairy products, excellent honey from Kos, jams, fresh fruits and vegetables. Egg-based dishes include “strapatsada” (scrambled eggs and tomato) and eggs with zucchini. There is also village style cheese pie (“katimeria”) or pies with wild greens and “perek” (with feta cheese) as well as savoury cakes with olives, “lalaggia” with anthotyro”” cheese from Mani and Cretan wild greens pies with fennel. The cheese selection includes feta, “anthotyro”, “krasotyri” and “kasseri”. Guests may taste “dakos” rusks with olives, oregano and “anthotyro” cheese, olives and sun dried tomatoes. Drinks such as fresh lemonade, “kanelada” (traditional cinnamon drink), “soumada” (traditional almonds drink) and orange juice are offered, as well as herbal teas and Greek coffee traditionally brewed. Dessert specialties are: “ryzogalo” (rice pudding), “loukoumades” (honey dumplings), semolina pudding (halva) “kousafi” with dried plums, Cretan “lychnarakia” with “myzithra” cheese, yoghurt pie, milk pie, sweet pumpkin pie, orange pie, “fanouropita” pie, “melekounia” (with honey and nuts), “tsoureki” (sweet egg bread), cream-filled “bougatsa” “diples”, and various spoon sweets

Ο Όμιλος Ξενοδοχείων Κυπριώτη ως υπερήφανος υποστηρικτής της ελληνικής γαστρονομίας, δίνει μεγάλη έμφαση στην προώθηση των ελληνικών προϊόντων και των τοπικών παραδοσιακών γεύσεων. Στις κουζίνες των ξενοδοχείων του ομίλου χρησιμοποιούνται διαλεχτά υλικά και πρώτες ύλες της ελληνικής γης με στόχο τη δημιουργία πιάτων και γεύσεων και με σεβασμό στη γαστρονομική παράδοση της χώρας.

Στον πρωινό μπουφέ υπάρχουν ακόμα λαχανικά, φρέσκα και αποξηραμένα φρούτα, φρουτοσαλάτα, κομπόστες, φυσικοί χυμοί, αφεψήματα και ελληνικός καφές στην χόβολη, ενώ ξεχωρίζουν οι χειροποίητες μαρμελάδες, το θυμαρίσιο μέλι, το ταχίνι, οι λουκουμάδες, οι χαλβάδες, το κουσαφί με ξερά δαμάσκηνα, τα κρητικά λυχναράκια με μυζήθρα, οι γλυκές πίτες, η κώτικη μαγειριά, τα σμυρνέικα κουλουράκια κοκ.

Breakfast at Kensho is focused on the flavors, colour and tastes of the Aegean. The hotel serves only the best Greek cold cuts and cheeses, featuring products like “apaki” (smoked pork) from Crete, “louza” from Mykonos, feta cheese, fresh fruits, pies (cheese and spinach pie, cheese pie,) organic eggs, flower honey, homemade jams, and homemade dishes such as Cretan “sfouggato” (omelet) and “hondros” (traditional pasta with goat’s milk and raisins) in a combination that makes this breakfast stand out.

Breakfast at the Kerveli Hotel includes a wide selection of Greek dishes such as traditional types of bread (“tabanisio”, “ladopsomo” and multi grain), fresh fruits and vegetables from the garden, oranges, olives with herbs from the farm and gourmet olive oil with herbs. There is also “strapatsada” (scrambled eggs with tomato and cheese), fried eggs from farm, pies with wild greens and traditional Greek phyllo dough and various jams. Beverages include tea with local herbs, mastic flavored Greek coffee and sweet wine of Samos.

Breakfast at the Kapari includes a rich buffet with Greek delicacies, such as fresh fruits, orange juice, salads and traditional cherry tomatoes of Santorini, various traditional pies and freshly baked cakes, a selection of Greek cheeses and cold cuts, Greek honey, traditional sweets, freshly baked bread and homemade jams. Hot dishes, such as various omelettes and eggs are served according to order.

Breakfast at the Karthea includes fresh bread, various types of rusks, and barley buns (traditional local product) from the local bakery. Eggs are served boiled or fried. There is top quality local thyme honey from Tzia, jams and spoon sweets (homemade with fruits from the hotel garden), served with yoghurt. Greek feta cheese and “kefalotyri” or “kefalograviera” are paired with many Greek olive varieties. There are also pies (such as “alevropita” flour pie), cakes, pasta-flora jam tart, apple pie, and cookies, all freshly made on the premises. Beverages include Greek coffee, organic tea, sage, lemongrass and oregano from the island of Kea.

A rich breakfast buffet with Greek -and mostly local- products is served daily at the ELIA restaurant. Among other things guests can enjoy fresh village style bread, traditional Rhodian “ladopita” pie cooked in many ways, homemade “ryzogalo” (rice pudding) and homemade spoon sweets. There is also a selection of Greek cheeses such as gruyere from Naxos and feta from Epirus. Local eggs are cooked in various ways, including the traditional “strapatsada” (scrambled eggs and tomatoes). Guests will also find local honey and the traditional “melekounia”, (honey and nuts bar) a traditional delicacy of Rhodes.
