The Frini offers a wide selection of traditional dishes. There is fresh bread, cookies and homemade cakes, various pastry items and freshly baked traditional pies. Guests will find fresh eggs (fried, boiled or omelet), various cold cuts and local cheeses, local jams, honey, “tahini” and spoon sweets. The breakfast buffet also serves olives, fresh vegetables, olive oil, fruits, various beverages (Greek coffee, milk, tea), a selection of juices, traditional yoghurt and various fruit compotes.

The breakfast buffet includes fresh local fruits, dairy produce and yoghurt from a local producer, as well as eggs from a local chicken farm cooked in a variety of ways. Local specialties like the “loukoumi” (Turkish delight, “pastelaria” and “fanouropita” cake) are worth trying. Breakfast is completed with vegetables from local producers,, several types of bread, cold cuts, olives, beverages, Greek coffee and traditional pies.

A breakfast buffet is served every day at the restaurant and features traditional products and handmade delicacies. It includes three types of bread (white, brown, and multi grain), and other bakery products. Guests will also find cereals, linseeds, oats, handmade cereals bars, dried nuts, dried fruits, homemade jams and honey from a local producer. There are cheeses such as feta, “anthotyro”, gruyere and “myzithra”, yoghurt, butter, cold cuts, omelet or “strapatsada” (scrambled eggs with tomato) and boiled or fried eggs. Guests may try the “dakos” rusks, the salads (tomato, cucumber, black eyed beans or lentils, chopped vegetables or olives), and sweet or savory pies (pumpkin pie, cheese pie, pie with fennel, “kaltsounia”, apple pie Chania, pie of Sfakia, walnut pie). Other selections include cakes and cookies, “tiganites” (pancakes), fruits, fresh orange juice, tea (hot or cold), coffees and various herbal beverages.

A breakfast buffet featuring traditional products of the region of Evritania helps guests start their day energized. There is fresh bread, free range eggs (boiled, fried or omelet), cold cuts, “tsalafouti” and feta cheeses as well as local yoghurt, jams, spoon sweets, cakes, and traditional pies with greens and cheese. Recommended are the homemade “bougatsa” pie, apple pie, “pasta flora” jam tart, “ryzogalo” (rice pudding), as well as the mountain tea. There is also milk, fresh juices and a selection of aromatic coffees, served at the comfortable breakfast area of the hotel.

The “Forest Inn” Ecotourism Hotel of Dadia serves a Greek traditional breakfast with many kinds of fresh bread from a traditional bakery paired with honey from the forest of Dadia, tahini (sesame paste) from Komotini, peanut butter from Alexandroupolis. There are also handmade biscuits, cake and handmade jams, made with organic fruit and fresh fruits. Dairies include ariani milk and goat’s cheese from a local producer, feta cheese from Soufli as well as traditional yoghurt. Guests will taste boiled eggs, special omelet with “kavourmas” (local meat delicacy) cold cuts and handmade cheese pie with traditional phyllo dough. Beverages include Greek coffee, mountain tea from Rodopi, “flamouri” herbal tea, chamomile, marjoram (all handpicked by the owners) and there are also spoon sweets and “ritseli” (pumpkin boiled in grape must).

The breakfast buffet puts emphasis on Cretan and Greek products. Guests may select fresh bread from the bakery (wheat, multi grain, rye and whole wheat), biscuits and various cakes. Highly recommended is the famous Cretan rusk (barley bun and wheat), the “kalitsounia” (“lychnarakia” and “anevata”) with sweet cheese and the cream-filled “bougatsa” pie. There is a wide selection of fresh fruits as well as dried fruits and jams made from various fruits or from carob, olives and herbs. Eggs are cooked “strapatsada” style (scrambled eggs and tomato) or served fried. Guests may combine the delicious Greek yoghurt with various cereals, Cretan honey or tahini. Traditional cheeses such as “kefalotyri”, “anthogalo” and “feta”, and vegetables such as tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, carrots as well as a selection of olives are also served.

The Greek breakfast includes a wide selection of traditional delicacies such as biscuits, cakes, pastry creations (“bougatsa” pie or village style cheese pie) as well as various pies such as apple pie and lemon pie. Guests will also find various types of bread such as “lokoumopsomo” bread, bread with olives and bread with cheese. The “loukoumades” (honey dumplings) and “tiganites” (pancakes with honey) are worth tasting. Also offered are fresh fruits, various juices, fruit salads, fresh vegetables (tomato, cucumber), yoghurt with honey, traditional local spoon sweets, various kinds of jams and “ryzogalo” (rice pudding).

The Flegra Palace offers a wide selection of Greek traditional dishes, starting with juices and herbal teas like “fliskouni” (a kind of mint), sage, mountain tea, verbena, “melissohorto” and Greek coffee. As for bread products there is a large selection of traditional loafs, biscuits (flour, tahini, margarine, sugar, cinnamon), sesame “koulouri” bun and cake with olives. There is also pure honey, jams and dried fruits. Guests should taste the traditional goat’s cheese of Chalkidiki as well as feta and “kasseri” cheese, strained yoghurt, and “eleotyri” cheese with red peppers and fresh butter. There is also a wide selection of olives and olive oil from Chalkidiki. Guests may try the soups, with traditional pasta “trahanas” or couscous. There is a selection of fresh salads and traditional pies, such as sesame pie, “bougatsa” with cheese, “bougatsa” with cream and sweet “kolobaropita” (with green zucchini and feta cheese). Other traditional dishes are the “sarmadakia” (vine leaves stuffed with rice), and the “psiroukia” (kind of pasta). The breakfast table is complete with “katsiamaki” (corn flour and honey), “pasteli” (sesame and dried nuts with honey), Macedonian tahini halva, semolina pudding (halva), and various spoon sweets.

The Finday hotel has a warm breakfast room with a large fireplace. Preparations start early in the morning with oven baked chocolate cakes, cookies, butter croissants and many other bakery items. Jams made of fruits, such as quince and apples from the garden, become a delicious combination with the fresh bread. The flour of the region adds its own distinctive note to the traditional breakfast of the hotel. Tea from the slopes of Helmos, “formaela” and “feta” cheeses from Kalavryta, yoghurt with honey and raisins from Corinthia, homemade pies with wild greens and feta, dried nuts and golden honey, are some of the local products served daily at the breakfast buffet of the hotel. During winter guests are served “trahanas” (traditional pasta) cooked with a local traditional recipe.

A rich traditional breakfast is served daily at the Filoxenia hotel. Guests will find fresh bread, bread sticks, homemade orange cookies or “moustokouloura” (cookies with grape must), juices, fruits, homemade jams (strawberry, fig), honey from Pelio, and homemade spoon sweets. There are also boiled and fried eggs, butter, “tyropsomo” (cheese bread), cheese or spinach pies (with homemade phyllo), olives, tomatoes, cucumber, yoghurt, feta and kasseri cheese. Desserts feature “ravani” (syrupy semolina cake), homemade cakes, “stafidopsomo” (raisin bread), all paired with Greek coffee, fresh milk or local mountain tea.

Breakfast is based on local traditional ingredients and local recipes. A variety of breads is available daily, as well as Cretan rusks, “kavroumadakia” (cookies) and handmade cookies with almond or chocolate, crunchy and freshly baked. There are jams from fresh strawberries or cherries and local spoon sweets, fresh fruits, and also dried fruits. Milk and yoghurt is also offered. A wide variety of cheeses like gruyere, “kefalograviera”, “kefalotyri”, sweet or sour “myzithra” is available. Guests should try the traditional “skaltsounia” with cheese or spinach, pies with fennel and the famous pies of Sfakia. Local eggs are the base for delicious omelettes (with “apaki” salted pork, tomato and feta) or “strapatsada” (scrambled eggs with tomato and veggies). Traditional sweets feature “loukoumades” (dumplings with honey), “tiganites” (pancakes), semolina pudding (halva), “bougatsa” pie, fresh cakes, local organic dried nuts (almonds, walnuts) and raisins. As for hot beverages, the Cretan herbal teas take center stage (“diktamo”, “malotira”, sage, chamomile). “Kanelada” (with cinnamon) is served as a refreshment. There is also tea and various coffees.

The guests at the Familia hotel can enjoy an excellent homemade breakfast in the small garden of the hotel. Fresh ingredients, homemade jams, handmade “tsoureki” (traditional sweet bread) are among the delicacies served. Specialties include “strapatsada”, (grated tomatoes fried with fresh eggs and top quality olive oil from Ithaca) and “riganada”, a gourmet snack: Toasted slices of bread with tomato, feta, olive oil and oregano. Other delicacies such as “tiganopsomo”, (fried, golden pancakes with honey or sugar and plenty of cinnamon) and “polenta” (cream made with corn flour, raisins, sugar and cinnamon or “amygdalopita” (almond pie), are really worth trying. Last but not least, the traditional cream-filled “bougatsa” pie is a must breakfast selection together with “ryzogalo” (rice pudding).
