The Coriva Beach Hotel & Bungalows is located on the southernmost part of Greece, in Ierapetra of the Lasith prefecture. The hotel has double, triple and family groups, and offers gourmet Cretan cuisine at the Pelagos Seaside Restaurant. The Coriva also features a swimming pool, a spa centre and guests may enjoy a swim at the beach, which is just a stones throw from the premises.
The Coriva serves a wide selection of traditional delicacies at breakfast, such as handmade and village style bread, bakery products like biscuits, “tsoureki” (sweet bread), “anevata” of Sitia, “amygdalota” (almond shortbreads), “stafidota kserotigana” (with raisins), “patoudia”, “lychnarakia” and “kaltsouni” (with sweet cheese). Guests may try fresh fruits and vegetables, cheeses (gruyere, “tyrozouli”, “ksygalo” of Sitia) and other dairy products (yoghurt, traditional yoghurt and butter). Eggs are cooked in various ways (boiled, fried, omelet or “kagianas” with cheese and “apaki” (smoked pork). Highly recommended are the handmade pies (cheese pie, pie with wild greens, pie with “myzithra” cheese), the pure honey and the handmade “pasteli” (honey and sesame bar). There is also a selection of handmade jams, herbal beverages such as “malotira” and verbena with rose, or traditional Greek coffee.
