The Kyknos hotel is situated 30km east of Heraklion, just 200m from one of the most beautiful beaches of Crete. Its 135 rooms are scattered in an area of 13.500 sq.m. and are surrounded by lush exotic gardens, two swimming pools, a pool bar, two tennis courts, a mini golf course and many other facilities.
The breakfast buffet offers various local products, starting with bread varieties like “kremmydopsomo” (bread with onion) and bread with raisins. Highly recommended is the traditional Cretan “dakos” (rusk). Dairy products include the famous Cretan gruyere, “kefalograviera”, “ksinomyzithra”, “allifoto” cheese and “ryzogalo” (rice pudding). There are also spoon sweets and tahini Halva. Semolina pudding (halva) is made at the hotel every day. Hot dishes feature cheese pies, pies with greens, village style sausages as well as “bougatsa” pie from Chania. The breakfast buffet offers sweets in syrup, tahini, dried nuts, “ksirotigana” (fritters) and fresh fruits.
