12 eggs

zest of 1 medium orange
For the syrup
650 gr sugar
2 glasses of water

First separate the eggs, beat the egg whites to meringue and whisk the egg yolks with the sugar and orange zest. In a bowl, stir in the breadcrumbs, walnuts and baking powder and then gently combine to ensure that the meringue does not deflate.

Then place the mixture in a buttered baking pan, sprinkle with breadcrumbs and bake at 2000C in a preheated oven until it becomes solid. After cooling, boil the syrup to tie, remove the orange peel and pour into the sweet syrup. After absorbing the syrup and cool, cut and serve.
