Enipeas Evoo
Enipeas Evoo embodies authentic Greek tradition, combining organic farming, respect for nature, and an unwavering commitment to quality. The company produces Ultra Premium Extra Virgin Olive Oil with exceptionally high phenolic content, sourced from early-harvest olives grown in the historic soils of Elis, near the Enipeas River and Ancient Olympia.
A Land with History
The olive groves of Enipeas Evoo are located at an altitude of about 250 meters, in the fertile plains and slopes surrounding the river Enipeas – a place rich in cultural and geological heritage. The soil, with its limestone and clay deposits, fine sediments, and natural structure, provides the ideal foundation for cultivating the Koroneiki variety. Combined with the mild Mediterranean climate, this unique geography ensures olive oil of outstanding character.
Product & Philosophy
Enipeas Evoo produces Ultra Premium Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil with very low acidity (around 0.2%), aiming for uncompromising quality. Harvesting begins early in October, when the olives are still green, preserving their high phenolic levels and creating a robust, complex taste profile. The resulting oil is intensely aromatic, with bitter and peppery notes that highlight its premium identity.
Sustainability, Organic Farming & Biodiversity
The company is committed to strict sustainable practices:
-
The olive groves are not irrigated, preserving phenolic content essential for health and quality.
-
Natural fertilizers, mainly legumes, are used to enrich the soil, improve its structure, and supply vital trace elements.
-
Pruning is done moderately, allowing sunlight and airflow within the canopy, strengthening the trees’ natural defenses and enhancing fruit quality.
-
Native vegetation, such as lavender, thyme, chicory, and wild herbs, is preserved around the groves, supporting biodiversity and acting as natural pest control.
The Olympia Variety & Health Benefits
Among the olive trees cultivated here is the rare and ancient Olympia variety (also known as Nemoutiana or Horaïtiki). Internationally recognized for its exceptionally high concentration of phenolic compounds, it is particularly rich in oleocanthal – renowned for its health-protective properties.
Enipeas Evoo is certified under ISO 22000:2018 and EU Organic Farming (2018/848), and its high polyphenol content allows it to carry the EU 432/2012 health claim, confirming that its polyphenols contribute to the protection of blood lipids from oxidative stress.
