Guests may taste a variety of Greek traditional dishes at the Ledra Village Resort breakfast buffet. For starters there are bread sticks, homemade cookies, fresh bread (semolina and multi grain), “loukoumades” (honey dumplings), “tiganokouloures” (fried buns) and “tiganites” (pancakes). There are also fresh fruits, fruit salad and vegetables, paired with cheeses such as feta, “kasseri” and “galotyri”, strained yoghurt and Greek butter. Among the eggs dishes there is “strapatsada” (scrambled eggs with tomato), served with cold cuts, sausages of Pelion, or pies (zucchini pie, pie with peppers, pie with leeks and meat, onion buns, pie with greens and cheese as well as “twisted” fried cheese pie). There is also flower honey, various spoon sweets, creams, cream-filled “bougatsa” pie, “diples” (fritters) and traditional sweets (walnut pie, orange pie, apple pie, lemon pie, sweet milk pie, “kataifi”, sweet pumpkin pie, semolina pudding -halva) and various jams. Breakfast is served daily, with fresh seasonal fruits and freshly squeezed orange juice, yoghurt and local cheeses from the Thessaly region.
Seasonal vegetables and eggs come from our farm. Marmalades, jams and spoon sweets (preserved fruit) are homemade by us with extra loving care from locally sourced fresh fruit. Our breakfasts feature traditional local flavours.
Pride of place goes to our pies made with homemade phyllo pastry, sausages, fresh milk curd cheese (galotiri), cheese and olive flatbreads, Greek scrambled eggs with tomato and feta (strapatsada), rice pudding, crushed wheat and buttermilk soup (trahanas) in winter, honey donuts, pancakes, honeycomb, semolina cake (halvas), apple pie and all of them are accompanied of course by Greek coffee brewed in traditional metal coffee pots (briki) and teas from local herbals.

The cheese section features the local “galotyri”, gruyere from Naxos, smoked cheese from Metsovo, “anthotyro”, “kasseri”, “manouri”, feta and goat’s cheese. The local delicious “ryzogalo” (rice pudding), flavored with mastic and raisins, the semolina pudding (halva) and the local “chaimalia” or “amygdalota” (almond shortbreads) are highly recommended treats. Cold cuts are paired with olives from Skiathos, Kalamata and Amfissa, bottarga and fish roe eggs during the period of Lent. Eggs are cooked in various ways, including “strapatsada” (scrambled eggs with potatoes, peppers, tomatoes and feta). There are also fresh fruits and homemade jams, local honey, and Greek tahini with honey, which appeals to those following a healthy diet.

Fresh vegetables are also produced in the garden (tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, eggplants, zucchini, herbs etc.) There are also chickens whose eggs are used, covering 50% of the hotel needs.
