The rich Greek breakfast buffet at Alexandra Beach consists of many kinds of breads, homemade cakes, sweets and biscuits, crepes, “loukoumades” (honey dumplings) and homemade jams. Fresh fruit, some of which from the hotel garden, such as apricots, pears, apples, peaches, cherries and pomegranates are also available. Fresh salads with vegetables from the garden, cucumbers, tomatoes, zucchinis, eggplants, peppers, lettuce and onions, are served daily. Hot dishes include omelettes with spinach, feta cheese, wild greens, “syglino” (smoked pork) and orange, handmade savoury pies with spinach, cheese and there are also sweet pies, such as apple pies and traditional cream-filled “bougatsa”. Apart from traditional spoon sweets, there are various Greek sweets in syrup and some international ones with a Greek twist like cheesecake with “anthotyro” soft cheese and tiramisu with “katiki” cheese from Domokos, Greek “mosaiko” with chocolate and handmade biscuits and homemade “ryzogalo” (rice pudding) orange zest.
