The Greek and Continental style self service breakfast at the Aphrodite hotel serves many fresh bread varieties delivered daily by the village bakeries. There are also traditional wheat rusks and homemade jams by the local Women’s Cooperative. There wide selection of cereals is offered with fresh fruits and milk or yoghurt with various dried nuts, raisins and plums. There are also homemade biscuits and cakes, as well as a wide choice of fresh seasonal fruits and vegetables, olives, local cheeses and “mandamadiotiko” yoghurt. There is a choice of cooked eggs dishes (fried, boiled or omelet), sausages or bacon. The hotel bakes fresh pies daily (cheese pies, spinach pies, zucchini pies) or “tiganites” (Greek pancakes). Other desserts include French toasts and traditional sweets such as “galaktoboureko” (custard cream in phyllo and syrup) and semolina pudding (halva).
