The old manor of the Orologopoulos family was built in 1650 and has recently been transformed into a luxury boutique hotel. The two storey building, in the traditional architectural style of the region, is located by the Doltso square in the old town of Kastoria and can accommodate up to 22 people in 9 spacious rooms (double, triple, family rooms and one suite).
Breakfast at Archontiko Orologopoulou features a variety of handmade and local traditional products. The fresh traditional pies (“armiopita”, cheese pie, spinach pie, olive pie, chicken pie, minced meat pie) are highly recommended and there is also a selection of breads and egg-based dishes like the traditional “strapatsada” (scrambled eggs and tomato.) Eggs are accompanied by sausages, bacon, cold cuts and cheeses (“metsovone”, feta, “kasseri” “kefalotyri”), fresh fruits and vegetables. Homemade jams, freshly squeezed juice and herbal teas, Greek coffee with mastic from Chios and cardamom are also served. Desserts include delicious mini pies filled with praline, cream or lemon and halva, cakes and handmade “ryzogalo” (rice pudding), During Lent guests will taste sweet delicacies such as tahini, semolina pudding (halva), “pasta flora” jam tart and “saliari” (traditional sweets of Kastoria).
