The Tarsounas mansion is located in Paleos Aghios Athanasios in the prefecture of Pella at the foot of Kaimaktsalan Mountain. The hotel consists of 11 rooms, three of which are suites with a Jacuzzi and fireplace. All the rooms are uniquely designed and built in the local architectural style where wood, stone and red tiles prevail. The Tarsounas mansion also features a restaurant and a caf?, as well as a shop selling local products.
The Tarsounas mansion serves many Greek and local delicacies at breakfast. The vegetables and eggs are organic and all the ingredients are carefully selected. Breakfast starts with three types of fresh bread, cherry cake, bread sticks with sun flower seeds and sesame and cookies with pieces of cherry. There is also a variety of fruits and orange juice. Guests may also try “batzo”, feta and “”kasseri”” cheeses as well as milk and yoghurt from Arnisa. There is also fresh cow’s butter and green olive oil from Macedonia. Eggs are cooked “strapatsada” style (scrambled with tomato and cheese). There are also jams and spoon sweets, flower honey and cold cuts from local producers. The pies are baked on the premises: cheese pies, leek and cheese pies, spinach pies with “trahana”, pies with minced meat and sweet “patsavouropita” pie, to name but a few. Black olives of Chalkidiki are also offered, and “zymarosoupa” (boiled pasta in milk, served with honey and fruit). As for beverages, there is mountain tea, cherry flower chamomile, Greek coffee.
