The breakfast buffet greets guests with an abundance of Greek traditional foods based on local ingredients. Next to the beverage selection (milk, juice and tea), there are fresh fruits and vegetables as well as an assortment of breads. The feta cheese is from Klisoura and there is also fresh yoghurt, local honey and jams made with local fruits. Standout dishes are the “piroski”, a delicacy from Pontos with dough filled with potato or cheese, eggs “kagiana” style, cooked with tomato and “feta” and traditional hot soups, served during the winter. The sweets include “bougatsa” (custard pie with phyllo), fruit cake, apple pie with apples from Milochori, “ryzogalo” (rice pudding), semolina pudding (halva) with dried nuts, milk pie, “loukoumia giaglidika” with cinnamon, sugar and raisins, and “laggites” from Thrace, with honey or sugar and cinnamon.
