Breakfast at the Ekies has many Greek elements and features local products. There is handmade fresh bread, Thessaloniki sesame buns and a selection of cookies and cakes. Fresh fruits, local honey fruit salads, strained yoghurt and buttermilk can be found daily at the breakfast buffet. Guests can also find eggs cooked in many ways, omelettes a la carte, cold cuts and various types of olives. Worth trying is the traditional “bougatsa” pie with cheese or cream, “pasteli” (sesame and honey paste bar) as well as handmade jams. Finally, there is a selection of beverages such as local herbal teas and infusions.
