Hotel Elysion is a new hotel on the island of Lesvos. It is ideally located, just a few minutes from the airport and 6.5km from the center of Mytilini. The rooms are fully equipped with many modern amenities. The hotel has a restaurant and a bar with views of the Aegean sea.
The Greek breakfast at the Elysion Hotel is based on local traditional products and recipes. Fresh bread is baked in a traditional oven, paired with feta and “myzithra” cheeses. There are cereals, honey and jams made by the Women’s Cooperative of Agiasos as well as cheese pies with local cheese. The dairies buffet includes “ladotyri” cheese and gruyere from Mytilini, local goat’s yoghurt, sheep’s butter from Chydira and eggs from a local poultry farm. Vegetarians will appreciate the Greek salad and fresh fruits. Traditional sweets of the day include “diples” (fried pancakes with honey and walnuts), “loukoumades” (honey dumplings) and syrupy “kadaifi” with phyllo and nuts. There are also various cakes, “tsoureki” (sweet bread), walnut pie and almond pie. The selection of savory pies includes cheese pie, spinach pie, chicken pie etc. The beverage selection has Greek milk, coffee and tea.
