The Grekis Hotel is set in a verdant location by the sea, overlooking an organized beach. Its location is less than 1km from the main square of the traditional village of Petalidi in Messinia. The hotel consists of twelve studios and six apartments with a private veranda or balcony, offering panoramic views to the Bay of Messinia and Mount Taygetos in the background.
The breakfast buffet at the Grekis Hotel includes a wide selection of traditional dishes. There is a variety of traditional breads, handmade cookies with orange, various cakes and handmade “lalaggia”. Beverages include Greek coffee, mountain tea, milk and orange juice. Guests will find fresh and dried fruits, “pasteli” (sesame and honey bar) from Messinia, butter, yoghurt, jams and honey. There is a selection of cold cuts, feta cheese, vegetables and Kalamata type olives. Guests may try boiled or fried eggs, omelet with cheese or peppers, “loukoumades” (honey dumplings), the savory or sweet “tiganites” (pancakes). Also recommended are the mini pies (with fresh tomato, garlic and cheese), the handmade fried cheese pies and the “bourekakia” (made with fried bread, tomato, “feta” cheese, slices of cucumber, yoghurt and red peppers).
