The Greek breakfast at the Aegialis Hotel & Spa consists of traditional bread, handmade cinnamon or orange cookies, homemade croissants, a wide variety of fresh fruits, fresh orange juice, organic vegetables from the hotel gardens, olives, feta cheese, yoghurt, and free range eggs cooked in many ways. Cheeses include the “Amorgiano” (semi-hard cheese), “ksinomyithra”, “anthotyro” and “malaka” cheese. The traditional pies are baked daily on the premises (with cheese, spinach, greens or “bougatsa” with cream). Desserts like “loukoumades” (honey dumplings), “kserotigana” (fritters) as well as handmade jams, are highly recommended. Honey and cheese from local producers is also available, and local recipes “favatokeftedes” and stuffed vineleaves (“dolmadakia”) are much appreciated. The Afandou Bay Suites Hotel serves a wide selection of Greek delicacies, such as traditional breads, biscuits, cakes, pastry treats like “bougatsa” (with cream) or mini pies with raisins. There are fresh fruits and juices, fruit salads, fresh vegetables, yoghurt with honey, cream and “ryzogalo” (rice pudding). Eggs are cooked in various ways, including the traditional “strapatsada” (scrambled with tomato) or “sfouggato” omelet with zucchini. There are also Greek cheeses like “feta”, cheese pie and other traditional pies with greens. Guests should try the “loukoumades” (honey dumplings) or the “tiganites” (pancakes) with honey.
Finally, there is honey, tahini spread, halva, “loukoumi” (Turkish delight), spoon sweets, dried fruits, jams, olives, olive oil, various kinds of coffee and beverages such as tea, and traditional herbal infusions like “alesfakia” and “glyfoni”.

The home cooked Greek breakfast features traditional products such as yoghurt with thyme honey from local producers, feta cheese from Lemnos, “kalathaki” (basket) cheese, olives, boiled eggs or omelet.
