A typical “Mani’s Breakfast”, is based on local culinary options, including fresh ingredients carefully selected from the local markets. Beverages feature sage and “melissohorto” (local mint variety) from Mani, local tea variety from Taygetos Mountain, Greek coffee and fresh locally-selected orange and/or grapefruit juice. Traditional bread from the bakery, rusks, oil and sesame cookies and apple pies are served every day. Visitors should try local thyme honey, tahini (sesame seeds spread), homemade jams, traditional yoghurt, “sfela” or local feta cheese. There is also Mani’s sausage with orange or syglino (smoked pork meat boiled in cinnamon and orange), homemade traditional pies, flute-shaped pies with various ingredients, “travichtes” (beignet/pulled fried dough), traditional Mani’s galatopita (milk pie) or portokalopita (orange pie), loukoumades (fried dumplings topped with honey) and Mani’s halva (tahini based sweet). Local recommend the traditional “riganada” or “dakos” (rusks with oregano, capers and local olives), fresh free-range eggs from Mani made to order, including “strapatsada” (scrambled eggs with tomatoes) and delicious fresh fruit salad with a variety of seasonal fruits.

The Melampous Hotel serves Greek breakfast with homemade products like honey and bread. There are also handmade pies such as cheese pies, pies with wild greens, zucchini pies and the grandmother’s “tiganopsoma” (fritters with cheese). Village eggs are served boiled, fried or omelettes and “avgofetes” (French toasts). Guests may also try “loukoumades” (honey dumplings) with Melampous honey, fresh handmade cake and individual chocolate cakes, fresh cow’s milk and yoghurt, natural orange juice, Greek coffee, mountain tea and chamomile, various cookies and fresh fruits.

The Greek breakfast consists of local products and pure ingredients like feta, olives, traditional handmade pies, fried eggs and omelettes, orange cake, “tsoureki” (sweet bread), cookies, orange juice, oranges, milk and fragrant Greek coffee.

Breakfast at the Mantinia Bay showcases the products of Messinia. It starts with fresh bread, homemade jams and cakes, fresh juice, coffee, local delicacies and cheeses like feta and gruyere. There is traditional “lalaggia” from Mani, village eggs cooked in various ways, tomato, olives, butter, honey from Taygetos and fresh yoghurt. Guests should also try the wonderful dried figs of the region and fruits from Messinia.

The Limeni Village serves a wide selection of traditional dishes on its breakfast buffet. Guests will find fresh milk, fragrant Greek coffee, teas and chamomile. There is fresh orange juice, homemade jams, flower honey, tahini, yoghurt, fresh butter and cold cuts. Guests may try the fresh omelettes, like the one with “syglino” (pork of Mani). A selection of breads is paired with feta and gruyere from Messinia, yellow cheese, capers, sun dried tomatoes, Kalamata type olives, sesame bread sticks, tomatoes, “syglino” and sausages of Mani. Guests may choose savoury specialties like “dakos” rusk (with tomato, feta, oregano and olive oil), cheese pie, spinach pie, “kagiana” (eggs and tomato omelet), or “travichtes” pies. Desserts include “tiganites” (pancakes), cakes, biscuits, “pasta flora” jam tart, orange or milk pie and “ryzogalo” (rice pudding).

The Lido offers a delicious and filling Greek breakfast featuring a wide selection of top quality traditional products with stunning views of the Corinthiakos Bay. The landlady prepares breakfast with traditional Greek yoghurt, honey from the village producers, fresh fruits and vegetables, homemade crepes, fresh eggs, traditional “ryzogalo” (rice pudding), local spoon sweets and a variety of homemade cakes (e.g. carrot cake with walnuts). Guests may also try various kinds of cheese, cold cuts and jams. As for beverages there is Greek coffee, various teas, traditional mountain tea and orange juice.

The Greek breakfast buffet offers bread from local wheat ground in a local mill, local variety olives and olive paste, feta and goat’s cheese made by local producers. The handmade cakes, sweets and biscuits, “travichtes”, “loukoumades” (honey dumplings) and homemade jams are worth trying. There are also fresh fruits and vegetables, some of which from the hotel garden.

The Greek Breakfast is practically a “Mani style breakfast” featuring local products like the best honey of Greece, sweet oranges of Laconia, “lalaggia” (local fritter accompanied by “sfela” cheese), “loukoumades” (honey dumplings) of Mani, “koutalides” with honey and walnuts, “syglino” (local pork preserved in salt), traditional rusks of Mani with excellent “protolado” (first oil) and olives, as well as “kagianas” eggs (with tomato). There are also traditional pies, sweet or savory (such as milk pie, pie with wild leeks, pie with onions etc.), a selection of homemade jams, with olive jam and prickly pear jam being the standout offerings, fresh fruits, dairy produce, local yoghurt and hot bread from a traditional local bakery. Breakfast at the Kyrimai is served. Guests choose their seats by the sea, order their preferred beverage and wait for breakfast to be served at their table, for a unique culinary experience.

Breakfast at the Kyparissia Beach Hotel is buffet style and consists mostly of local, top quality products. In particular, the cakes are handmade with fresh local ingredients and so are the jams. The honey and feta are locally produced, the “tiganopsoma” (cheese fritters) are freshly cooked and the various desserts (e.g. semolina pudding -halva-, apple pie etc) are also handmade. Guests will find local olives and fresh vegetables. Beverages include coffee, teas and fresh milk.
There are also cold cuts, various breads, yoghurt and peach compote. Last, but not least, there are eggs, omelet and mini sausage pies, cheese pies and spinach pies.

The hotel offers a full Lakonian breakfast including with fresh bread, “lalaggia” (fried pastry treat with sesame and clove), rusks, raisin pie, “pasteli” (traditional sesame and honey par) and orange cookies. Beverages include coffee, tea from Mount Taygetos, sage, chamomile, juices (pomegranate, orange) and milk. Guests may taste “sfela” cheese, low fat gruyere, smoked “syglino” (pork) and “spaka”, (omelet with smoked sausage, wild artichokes, “sfela” and potatoes). There are also fresh boiled eggs, green olives, local tomatoes accompanied with extra virgin oil from the region and “hondros” (cracked wheat) boiled with milk.
Also recommended are the “tsaitakia” (small pies with saut?ed greens), jams, and “spoon sweets” from citrus fruits. There is honey, yoghurt, fresh fruits, “loupina” (roasted chick peas from Mani) and desserts such as “diples” (fritters dipped in syrup) “amygdalota” (almond shortbreads) and semolina pudding (halva). There is also fresh cake (made with oil, orange juice and orange peel), with walnuts, almonds or flavored with tangerine juice. All the sweets, “spoon sweets”, jams, cookies, pies and breads are prepared by the landlady. The “Kotronas”, a 2 star hotel, gets 5 stars for hospitality and service.
