Aigina Greek Nut Company

The companyAIGINA® Nutsis a family business that started its operation in 1952, when Yannis Tzitzis decided to process and standardize the pistachios he produced on his farms. For this reason, he founded the companyAegina ® Nuts, where the production, processing (cleaning, sorting), roasting and standardization of the unique product of Aegina takes place.

The companys facilities (new machinery imported from abroad) are created on privately owned land, close to the farms, so that there is a direct link between production and processing and standardization.

The company was the first in Greece to be licensed to operate, process and packageAegina pistachioand almond. It was the first to start the standardization of the pistachio of Aegina, thus giving added value to the local product. At the same time, due to the good relations and trust he had with the other local growers, he started to buy and process their production, so that a very large part of the quantity ofAegina pistachioproduced passed through his hands every year.

In 1989, Yannis Tzitzisson, Nikos, took over the company and proceeded to its complete modernization, with new machinery, a modern way of organizing production and systematic control of processing. “Greek Breakfast” at Thessaloniki Airport “Makedonia”

An event organized by Fraport Greece, the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels and the Thessaloniki Hotels Association, which “travels your senses…”

 In celebration of World Tourism Day, which is observed every year on September 27, Fraport Greece, in collaboration with the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels and the Thessaloniki Hotels Association, organized a major event at Thessaloniki Airport “Makedonia” to showcase and promote the “Greek Breakfast” experience.

 “Greek Breakfast” is an innovative initiative by the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels, focusing on connecting the country’s rich gastronomic tradition, along with the hotel guests’ exquisite experience.

Its purpose is to express the HCH’s vision to invest in sustainable development by supporting the local producers and products that highlight the culinary identity of each Greek destination.

During the event held at the fully renovated “Makedonia” airport, operated by Fraport Greece, more than 1,500 departing passengers had the opportunity to taste traditional products from a variety of local gastronomy experiences, emphasizing the value and uniqueness of “Greek Breakfast” once again, as it “took their senses on a journey.”

 During the event, Mr. Giorgos Vilos, Executive Director of Commercial & Business Development, Fraport Greece, stated, “With great pleasure, we celebrated World Tourism Day today, together with the passengers of ‘Makedonia’ airport, the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels and the Thessaloniki Hotels Association. The primary focus of the event was the award-winning local gastronomy as experienced by the city’s visitors through ‘Greek Breakfast.”

 Mr. Alexandros Vasilikos, President of the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels, added, “We wholeheartedly support this effort, which brings Greek products to the table of every traveler. The innovative ‘Greek Breakfast’ program was launched in 2010 by the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels and has since, enjoyed great success, enriching and increasing participation, continuously. Το Ελληνικό Πρωινό στην XENIA 2019

Με σύνθημα «Κάθε πρωί στρώνουμε τραπέζι σε όλη την Ελλάδα», το Ελληνικό Πρωινό του Ξενοδοχειακού Επιμελητηρίου Ελλάδος, μια από τις πιο σημαντικές δράσεις όσον αφορά στην ανάδειξη της γαστρονομικής μας κληρονομιάς αλλά και την προώθηση του ελληνικού τουριστικού προϊόντος γενικότερα, φιλοξενήθηκε για πρώτη χρονιά στην έκθεση XENIA 23 – 25 Νοεμβρίου 2019 στο Metropolitan Expo.

Με ιδιαίτερη χαρά υποδεχτήκαμε στο περίπτερό μας την Πρόεδρο του ΕΟΤ, κ.Άντζελα Γκερέκου και τον Υπουργό Τουρισμού, κ.Χάρη Θεοχάρη οι οποίοι ενημερώθηκαν για την πορεία του Ελληνικού Πρωινού σχετικά με την ένταξη των τουριστικών καταλυμάτων στο πρόγραμμα, αλλά και τη διαδικασία πιστοποίησης που ακολουθείται από το Ξενοδοχειακό Επιμελητήριο Ελλάδος. Εκδήλωσαν θερμά το ενδιαφέρον τους για την πορεία του προγράμματος και δοκιμάσαν αρκετά από τα κεράσματα που τους προσφέρθηκαν.
Με την επιμέλεια του consultant chef και πιστοποιημένου καθηγητή μαγειρικής, κ.Στράτου Ιωσηφέλλη, όσοι επισκέφτηκαν το περίπτερο του Ελληνικού Πρωινού είχαν τη δυνατότητα να γευτούν γνήσια ελληνικά προϊόντα τοπικών παραγωγών και να ταξιδέψουν τις αισθήσεις τους μέσα από διαφορετικές προτάσεις – συνταγές, ενώ παράλληλα άκουσαν πολύτιμες πληροφορίες από τη Σύμβουλο Διατροφικής Αγωγής, κ. Μελίνα Σελάλμα μέσα από ένα άκρως ενδιαφέρον πρόγραμμα ζωντανών μαγειρικών δράσεων.

Το τραπέζι του πρωινού πλημμύρισε γεύσεις και αρώματα από διάφορες περιοχές της Ελλάδας και τόσο με τη βοήθεια των εξαιρετικών πρώτων υλών όσο και με τη μαεστρία του chef κ.Ιωσηφέλλη πραγματοποιήθηκε ένα πλούσιο γαστρονομικό ταξίδι στα πλέον παραδοσιακά, μοντέρνα αλλά και μεταμοντέρνα εδέσματα της πατρίδας μας.
Από τις ζωντανές παρασκευές που ξεχώρισαν ήταν το ρεβανί με φιστίκι Αιγίνης, η στριφτόπιτα με ξυνομυζήθρα, καπνιστή γραβιέρα και μελανοτύρι, τα γεμιστά σουγάνια με κιμά από λουκάνικο, πλιγούρι και φρέσκα αρωματικά, η αποδομημένη σπανακόπιτα με μους φέτας, το πιτάκι φάβας με σάλτσα τομάτας, καπνιστό σύγκλινο, τηγανιτό αυγό και βασιλοτύρι, καθώς και οι αυγόφετες με παστράμι και τυρί Άγιος Ισίδωρος Νάξου.

Για το λόγο αυτό μέσα από το Ελληνικό Πρωινό επιθυμούμε οι γεύσεις που δοκιμάζουν οι επισκέπτες στο τραπέζι του πρωινού να τους μείνουν ανεξίτηλες.

Το Ελληνικό Πρωινό στο FVW Workshop 2019

Ελληνικό Πρωινό δοκίμασαν οι 200 συμμετέχοντες στο FVW Workshop 2019, την κορυφαία δράση για την ενδυνάμωση της Γερμανικής τουριστικής αγοράς, που έλαβε χώρα στις 29 Μαρτίου 2019 στο ξενοδοχείο Wyndham Grand Athens, με στόχο τη γνωριμία τους με την αυθεντική Αθήνα, την Αττική γενικότερα και δη τους θησαυρούς που προσφέρουν.
Το workshop συντόνισε ο αρχισυντάκτης του FVW, κ. Klaus Hildebrand. Μίλησαν ο Πρόεδρος του Ξενοδοχειακού Επιμελητηρίου Ελλάδος, κ.Αλέξανδρος Βασιλικός, η κ.Ελένη Δημοπούλου από την Περιφέρεια Αττικής και πολλοί ακόμη φορείς του τουρισμού, καθώς και εκπρόσωποι σημαντικών tour operators και τουριστικών γραφείων της Γερμανίας.


Η ημερίδα διοργανώθηκε από το Ξενοδοχειακό Επιμελητήριο Ελλάδος, την Περιφέρεια Αττικής και το FVW με την ευγενική στήριξη του ΕΟΤ και την Αιγίδα του Υπουργείου Τουρισμού. Χορηγός μεταφοράς ήταν η Aegean. Χορηγός διαμονής το Athenaeum Intercontinental Athens Hotel. Χορηγός συνεδρίου το Wyndham Grand Athens hotel και Χορηγός επίγειων μεταφορών η TUI Hellas.

 

Το FVW Workshop πραγματεύτηκε θέματα, όπως πολιτιστική κληρονομιά, σύγχρονη πόλη, υποδομές διαμονής και συνεδρίων, ψυχαγωγία, γαστρονομία, παραλιακό μέτωπο, πανόραμα των νησιών. Έγιναν προτάσεις για short breaks, καθώς και για τη στρατηγική ανάπτυξης της Γερμανικής αγοράς.

Στο πλαίσιο απόκτησης βιωματικής εμπειρίας σε σχέση με την τοπική γαστρονομία και τον πολιτισμό, οι συμμετέχοντες στο συνέδριο είχαν την ευκαιρία να δοκιμάσουν την πλέον προνομιακή δράση του ΞΕΕ, το «Ελληνικό Πρωινό», καθώς τους περίμενε ένας χορταστικός και εκτενής μπουφές με γευστικά ελληνικά εδέσματα, όπως πλούσιες σαλάτες, ελληνικά τυριά, σφουγγάτο, λαχανοντολμάδες, στριφτάρια με χόρτα και τυρί, οσπριάδα, ρυζόγαλο, γλυκά του κουταλιού με γιαούρτι, λουκουμάδες και σιμιγδαλένιος χαλβάς κ.α.
Κατά τη διάρκεια της παραμονής τους στην Ελλάδα, οι συμμετέχοντες είχαν επίσης την ευκαιρία να επισκεφθούν τα αξιοθέατα της Αθήνας και της Αττικής, να γνωρίσουν τις τουριστικές υποδομές της περιοχής και τις δυνατότητες για ψυχαγωγία και αγορές.
