The Greek breakfast consists of local products from the area of Stavros and the wider region. There is freshly baked bread, buns and homemade cookies prepared on the premises with local products. The fresh fruits are local and there are also freshly squeezed juices and vegetables from the greenhouses of the area. Eggs are cooked in various styles, paired with yellow cheeses and traditional feta, as well as a selection of cold cuts. Furthermore, there is honey from a local producer, local jams and spoon sweets as well as olives and virgin olive oil. Guests should try the traditional phyllo pies baked on the premises, notably the sweet “bougatsa” pie with cream and the onion pie of Salonica.

The Greek breakfast buffet features products of Chalkidiki and Greece in general. The hotel guests may pick traditional ingredients for their omelet, which is made on the spot, then choose among coffee or tea, homemade lemonade and juice, while enjoying the beautiful view of the poolside restaurant. The buffet also has bread, traditional cookies, honey and olives of Chalkidiki, homemade jams, boiled or fried eggs, handmade cakes, fruits, cold cuts, cheese, yoghurt and milk. Local traditional delicacies such as sweet “trahanas” soup (pebble-sized pasta) and handmade “bougatsa” pie of Thessaloniki are also served.

The rich breakfast buffet at the Rigas Hotel offers a wide selection of dishes prepared mostly with local ingredients. The bread rolls are baked every day at the hotel and are served hot. The same applies to the chocolate and vanilla cakes, as well as the biscuits. Greek feta, “kasseri” cheese and various cold cuts paired with vegetables and local olives from Skopelos alternate every day among other delicacies. Guests should try the traditional honey and spoon sweets of Skopelos, as well as the fresh pies made by the hotel chef. Fresh fruits and compotes are served with Greek yoghurt and honey. “Ryzogalo” (rice pudding) and semolina pudding (halva) are also offered. The Cretan breakfast consists mainly of products such as olives, barley rusk or bread, local cheeses (gruyere, “anthotyro”, “”myzithra” etc), fresh goat’s milk and yoghurt. Apart from these, there is also honey, fruits and “ksinohondros” (traditional pasta -“trahanas”). The Cretan breakfast has been recognized worldwide for its beneficial effects on the longevity and quality of life of Cretans. All these elements have survived through time and as a result they encompass the wisdom of previous generations. A good way to achieve the continuation of tradition is the effort to acquaint all guests with the Cretan dietary culture.

Jams, cakes, fruit salad and cold cuts are also among the guest’s choices for breakfast.

The breakfast served at Hotel Renieris is mostly based on the Cretan diet, which is proven to contribute to good health and longevity. Guests will find two types of bread from the local bakery, olive oil cake and apple pie baked on the premises. There is handmade lemon or rose jam, local spoon sweets and traditional sweets (orange pie, walnut pie, “ravani” (syrupy semolina cake), milk pie, cream-filled “bougatsa” pie, pie with tahini, semolina pudding (halva), “ryzogalo” (rice pudding) etc. Guests should also taste olives, 2 types, pickled peppers, “”ryzogalo”” (rice pudding). Beverages include fragrant Greek coffee, fruit juices and tea.

The Regina Dell’ Acqua offers a delicious buffet style breakfast with many local delicacies. For starters, there is a variety of breads, jams and thyme honey, spoon sweets, and compote. There is also a selection of fresh and dried fruits as well as dried nuts, such as almonds and walnuts.
Guests may drink fresh fruit juice, milk, Greek coffee, chamomile, or various teas. Fresh vegetables with olives and virgin olive oil are also offered. The cheese selection includes feta, “myzithra”, gruyere, “kasseri” and there is also a platter of cold cuts. The mini “dakos” rusks with tomato, feta, olive oil and oregano, are worth tasting. Eggs are cooked in various ways. Greek specialties include cream-filled “bougatsa” pie and “loukoumades” (honey dumplings). Other available desserts are the following: a variety of cakes, “ryzogalo” (rice pudding), apple pie, vanilla and chocolate biscuits, cherry pie, various tarts and traditional “fanouropita” pie.

Breakfast at the Refanidis Hotel features local products from Serres such as milk, tea, honey, cheese, eggs, yoghurt and homemade butter. There are bread varieties, jams, cakes and pies (all homemade). Guests will also find a platter with cold cuts and yellow cheeses, juices and fragrant coffee. Breakfast is buffet style and the menu is prepared with recipes from the Mediterranean Greek cuisine.
