The a la carte breakfast at Melenos Lindos is served at the garden of the hotel overlooking the sea.

There is also cake with olive oil, vanilla or chocolate, orange pie, and orange spoon sweet.

The breakfast buffet features a wide range of traditional delicacies with great emphasis put on products from Rhodes and the Dodecanese that alternate on a weekly basis. There is a great selection of breads including the traditional “tiganopsomo”, “ladopita” and various pastry items like mini pies with apple, cheese, and custard fillings. As for dairy products there is fresh milk and traditional feta with oregano, yellow cheeses and local strained yoghurt. The olives and olive paste add a Mediterranean touch. Fresh fruits and vegetables are offered daily, raw or cooked. There is a selection of cold cuts and eggs cooked in various ways, like scrambled -“strapatsada” style. Beverages include herbal teas such as chamomile, spearmint, sage, “alisfakia”, and traditional, fresh, handmade lemonade.

Breakfast at the Maritina Hotel includes many products from local and Greek producers. The hotel serves hot, freshly baked bread rolls based on a local recipe. The local traditional cheese, “posa”, red “krasotyri”, traditional “anthotyro” cheese, “feta”, are among the cheese selections. Bread is paired with honey from local producers and traditional “tomataki” (small tomato) spoon sweet. Many fresh fruits are also served, as well as olives from Kos marinated in sesame, orange and extra virgin olive oil. There is also “ryzogalo” (rice pudding) made with Greek milk, Greek yoghurt and “mageria” (traditional local sweet). Other delicacies served regularly are the traditional “varvara” (a mixture of seeds, dried nuts and fruits sprinkled with cinnamon) as well as “krasotyri” cheese “saganaki” (shallow fried) with cherry tomato jam.

Breakfast is served at the hotel balcony or in guests’ rooms with views of the traditional village of Messaria. The products used in breakfast are mostly local. Desserts feature “diples” “anevata” and “kaltsounia” from Crete, local “loukoumades” (honey dumplings), the classic “ryzogalo” (rice pudding), “moustalevria” (grape must pudding), “loukoumi” from Syros and traditional “melekouni” (nuts honey bar) of Rhodes. Among the beverage selection “alisfakia”, also known as Rhodian sage, is offered.
