The buffet style breakfast at the Trapelas Hotel includes Greek flavors, mostly from Mani, made with fresh products produced by the owners or small local producers. Apart from Greek coffee there is mountain tea, sage, chamomile, verbena, various local herbal teas and freshly squeezed orange juice, tangerine and lemon. There is fresh bread, “halos” (rusk) of Mani, handmade cookies, “vrahakia” and bread with raisins, “tiganides” (local fritters), bread with olives and “travihtes” (traditional pies). Guests will also find cheese pies, zucchini pies or spinach pies with ingredients from the garden, all cooked with local extra virgin olive oil. There are also homemade jams and spoon sweets, as well as fresh flower honey. The sweet corner includes sweet pies like milk pie, apple pie, various cakes, semolina pudding (halva), “ryzogalo” (rice pudding flavored with lemon) and “galohylopites” flavored with mastic. Dairies include milk and yoghurt, Greek cheeses (feta, “kasseri”, “kefalograviera”). Guests may try cold cuts and local eggs, boiled or fried, omelet (with “siglino” pork or asparagus) and “kagianas” (eggs and tomato). Concluding, fresh fruits or fruit salads complement the traditional buffet of the hotel.

Indicatively, some of the delicacies we offer in our buffet are: traditional strapatsada, homemade cheese pie or spinach pie or meat pie with handmade traditional dough, traditional riganada, homemade cake and pastaflora, honeycomb, local honey, yogurt and a variety of local cheeses, homemade jams and a rich variety of fresh seasonal fruits.

The delicious Greek breakfast is served at the veranda of Torri e Merli Hotel. Guests will find bread rolls and traditional pies with wild greens and vegetables from the vegetable garden. There are also cold cuts from Corfu (“nouboulo”) and Lefkada (salami), bread rolls with olives from Paxi, jams made with fruits from the garden, Greek yoghurt with honey, and “ryzogalo” (rice pudding).

Hotel Titania’s breakfast buffet is stocked with fresh juices, beverages and a choice of Greek and other coffees. The vast selection of cereals is paired with fresh milk from small farms and two kinds of yoghurt. Veggie choices include a selection of homemade jams, dried nuts and dried fruits as well as fresh seasonal fruits and crunchy salads. A wide variety of breads and Cretan rusks can be combined with Greek cheeses (feta, anthotyro), Kalamata olives and mushrooms from Korinthia. Eggs are served in many ways (fried, boiled, omelettes) and there is a choice of handmade cheese and wild greens pies made with rustic “phyllo” dough and olive oil. As for dessert, hotel guests can enjoy homemade milk pie with cinnamon, homemade “ryzogalo” (rice pudding) with Chios mastic and spoon sweets. The breakfast buffet also offers gluten free products, as well as a healthy eating choices corner.

Greek breakfast at Thoukididis guesthouse includes two types of bread, handmade “tsoureki” (sweet bread made with grandma’s recipe from Asia Minor) and “stafidato” (with raisins, an old oriental recipe with oil dough, ash water, ground raisins, fig jam, walnuts and lemon zest).
Guests should try the local yoghurt served with jam or spoon sweets, eggs prepared in various ways, and various pies such as “alevropita” (with flour), “alevrokolokytho”, cheese pie, pie with vegetables (with wild greens from the guesthouse garden). Various cakes are served daily (with chocolate, apples, oil), almond and raisin biscuits, as well as various handmade jams. There is also fresh juice, coffee and herbal teas.

Guests may also try a freshly cut village style salad with homemade pepper pickles and the best local olives. Desserts include orange pie in syrup, semolina pudding (halva), “ryzogalo” (rice pudding) and creams, milk pies and cakes. Drinks include freshly squeezed orange juice and local herbal beverages, such as spearmint, sage and mountain tea.

The Y Hotel’s daily breakfast selection is based on fresh Greek ingredients and offers many types of bakery items: the bread basket includes multi grain, whole wheat with poppy seeds, village style with yeast, sweet bread with raisins, and a selection of croissants (butter, chocolate and raisins). There is also a basket with seasonal fruits, refreshing fresh juices and yoghurt from Thessaly. Greek feta, gruyere from Crete, smoked “Metsovone” cheese, will accompany the variety of traditional cold cuts. Kalamata olives and fresh mushrooms, baked tomatoes and vegetables will satisfy those who prefer vegetables. A proper breakfast selection would be incomplete without eggs dishes (fried, boiled, omelette). Last but not least, there is a vast selection of Greek pies (cheese, spinach, leek, zucchini) tarts and crepes with many savoury toppings. For dessert, there are freshly baked cakes (vanilla, chocolate, marbled, walnut, orange), hand made sweets such as apple pies, “pasta flora” jam tart, chocolate or jam roll and crepes. All time breakfast classics, muesli and dried fruits such as plums, apricots and figs, as well as a variety of breakfast cereals complement the breakfast buffet.

Breakfast at the Costa Navarino puts emphasis on the Greek diet and local produce of Messinia. The rich buffet features mostly Greek, fresh local products. There is a wide variety of breads and bakery products such as sesame “koulouri” bun, “lalagides” (traditional fritter with honey), “tsoureki” (sweet bread), and pastry items such as the traditional “petoules” (prepared before the guests and served with cheese or honey.) Cold cuts (“syglino” from Mani and sausages with orange from Messinia) are worth trying, and there are cheeses such as “sfela” from Messinia, “talagani” from Gargaliani etc. Also, handmade jams and traditional pies, honey and dairy products such as yoghurt, “ryzogalo” (rice pudding) are recommended. Guests may try the dried nuts and fruits, the fresh fruits and vegetables or egg dishes a la carte, such as “strapatsada”, (scrambled eggs with tomato and other ingredients of choice.) The hearty meal ends with a cup of freshly ground coffee (Greek among others) or a glass of freshly squeezed juice of oranges from Messinia, grapefruit or pomegranate.

The breakfast served at Westin Athens Astir Palace Resort uses fresh Greek ingredients as the best ambassadors to foreign guests. The original Greek breakfast features a handpicked selection of Greek cheeses (kasseri, “kefalograviera” from Crete, fresh mozzarella “plait” from Kozani, “manouri”, “anthotyro”, “tyrozoulia”). The Kalamata type olives and organic olive oil from the hotel farm are paired with gluten free cold cuts, and “strapatsada” (scrambled eggs with tomato and “syglino” pork). The breakfast buffet is complete with fresh fruits from local producers, dried figs and raisins from Egion. Finally, there is a healthy foods corner with fruits, juices, unsalted nuts and seeds.
