At the “Open Kitchen” Restaurant of Domotel Xenia Volos, a rich buffet breakfast is served daily based on both local products and Greek products. All of the guests start start their day with fresh bread, traditional Pelion sweets, cheeses made by local producers, traditional olives of Pelion and the local tsitsiravla pickles made from pistacia terebinthus shoots.
The visitors can make the authentic Greek coffee in hovoli, while they can taste the local “moustoloukouma”, the local sesame halvah, sausages from Karditsa, fresh eggs, red beans from Kierion village, fresh pies, frumenty made by milk or tomato. Also many traditional pies are served such as yogurt pie, sweet pecan pie, apple pie with chestnuts, honey balls, semolina halvah with cinnamon powder and fresh fruits such as apples from Zagorin, cherries and figs from Pelion).

The hotel offers a proper Greek breakfast with hand picked ingredients from many corners of Greece. To start, there is a selection of freshly baked breads, ring sesame “koulouri” bun and an assortment of cakes. As for spreads, there is flower honey from Evia, cow’s butter, a selection of homemade jams, hazelnut praline, and yoghurt with various toppings.
The cheese board features Cretan gruyere, “manouri” from Lamia, “kasseri” from Ksanthi, paired with cold cuts from various regions of Greece. The Greek corner includes unsalted barley rusks, grated “feta” cheese, grated tomatoes, Kalamata olives, extra virgin olive oil, oven-baked bacon and sausages from Karditsa, saut?ed mushrooms and vegetables, cherry tomatoes from Messinia , “strapatsada” (scrambled eggs with tomato), traditional Cretan pie with “myzithra” and “anthotyro” cheese served with honey, various other freshly prepared pies, a tart of the day with fresh fruit and pastry cream and milk pie with fresh milk from Volos, handmade phyllo and cinnamon.

A breakfast buffet with homemade delicacies is served daily at the Doltso hotel. There is always fresh bread, homemade jams, various cookies, cakes, biscuits and “tsoureki” (sweet bread). Eggs are cooked in various ways, and there is a selection of cold cuts and other savory delicacies (mini pies with feta, tomatoes and olives). Handmade sweets (apple pie, cheese cake) are also offered, as well as sweet custard “bougatsa” pie. As for beverages, there is mountain tea, “flamouri” herbal tea with saffron of Kozani and green tea.

Breakfast at Dohos Hotel is served at the veranda overlooking the Aegean Sea and offers guests a traditional Greek experience with products from local producers. The greens and vegetables are from the hotel’s own garden. There are handmade jams and spoon sweets from local cooperatives, cold cuts, hot trahanas (traditional pasta), local cheeses, fresh free range eggs, handmade pies, freshly squeezed orange juice and fragrant Greek coffee.

The breakfast buffet at the Dioscouri hotel includes whole wheat bread and white bread, “tsoureki” (sweet bread), orange cookies, rusks with raisin and oil from the local bakery. There are also handmade cakes, organic honey from Taygetos and homemade jams such as bitter orange, quince and apricot. The feta from Taygetos, tomato salad with oregano, local olives, omelet with sausages from Mani and “kagianas” (scrambled eggs with tomato) are recommended. Visitors will also taste fresh orange juice made with oranges from region, mountain tea from Taygetos, yoghurt with fruit compote, fresh fruits and coffee.

The Greek breakfast buffet at the Dionyssos includes two types of handmade bread (white and rye), rusks, cake, cookies and mini apple pies. Dairy products include milk, full fat yoghurt, cold cuts and cheeses (yellow, feta and “anthotyro”). Guests may try boiled and fried eggs, scrambled eggs with tomato (“strapatsada”), and Greek omelet. The homemade sweets such as cake, apple pie, syrupy semolina cake (“ravani”), “ryzogalo” (rice pudding) and traditional spoon sweets, are highly recommended. There is also a fresh fruit selection, two types of olives, two kinds of local jams, honey from Skopelos, vegetables and traditional pies such as spinach pie or cheese pie. Drinks and beverages feature coffee (Greek and other kinds), tea and herbal beverages such as mountain tea, sage, mint and spearmint.

The Greek breakfast offers dishes made of fresh, top quality products. Various types of bread, traditional cookies and breadsticks are always featured at the breakfast buffet. Greek fresh yoghurt is paired with thyme honey or homemade jams such as strawberry, orange, cherry and apricot. Highly recommended are the traditional handmade village style pies (cheese pie, cheese and spinach pie) as well as the traditional sweet pumpkin pie with sugar and cinnamon.
Other homemade delicacies include “ryzogalo” (rice pudding) sprinkled with cinnamon, cream-filled “bougatsa” pie, “galatopita” (milk pie) and a selection of cakes. Vegetables like tomatoes, cherry tomatoes and cucumbers, are paired with feta, olives, virgin olive oil and barley rusks. Eggs are cooked in many ways, including “strapatsada” (scrambled eggs with tomato) or a baked omelet with peppers, mushroom and cheeses. Fresh fruits and juices are always available. Beverages include Greek coffee, teas and herbal infusions.

The boutique Hotel Dioni serves a rich breakfast buffet with Greek products. There is fresh bread and cake, as well as a selection of beverages (coffee, tea in various flavors, milk and juices.) There are also various jams, compote and local seasonal fruits. The traditional products include rich yoghurt, olives and tomatoes from local producers, feta cheese from Epirus, eggs and honey from local producers. There is also “kefalograviera” cheese from Epirus and a wide variety of cold cuts. Guests should definitely taste the traditional “twisted” cheese pies.

Guests may start their Greek breakfast with a cup of Greek coffee or herbal beverage, such as sage, “diktamo”, “malotyra”, chamomile or tisane. There is a selection of fresh breads and rusks, cookies and biscuits. Extra virgin olive oil and olives, thyme honey, jams, dried fruits and nuts are among the basic Cretan staples. Dairies include fresh sheep’s yoghurt, plain or with honey and walnuts, and a wide range of Cretan cheeses such as gruyere, “kefalotyri”, feta, “anthotyros”, “myzithra”, “ksigalo” and “ksynomyzithra”. The cold cuts selection features the Cretan smoked “apaki” pork and village style sausages. Fresh fruits and fruit salads are also available to guests. Hot specialties include “kalitsounia” with “myzithra” cheese and honey, cream-filled “bougatsa”, cheese pie, pie with “myzithra”, “sfouggato” omelet with tomato and zucchinis, and fried eggs with “apaki”. For dessert, there is “kserotigana”, (fritters) tahini halva, “lychnarakia”, various spoon sweets and “loukoumades” (honey dumplings).

The Greek breakfast offers coffee or traditional beverages, such as chamomile or mountain tea, combined with cookies or freshly baked vanilla, chocolate or orange cakes that are made on the premises. Many types of bread are available (wheat, whole wheat and village style) paired with traditional citrus marmalade made during the winter with fresh oranges, tangerine and lemons from the gardens of the family. There are also various delicious sweet or savory pies: (sweet “ryzopita” (rice pie), traditional “alevropita” (flour pie) of Pelion and “giaourtopita” (yogurt pie) from Karditsa. Guests may try a bowl of hot soup, like the bean soup of Pelion, paired with homemade rusks with oregano and thyme from the mountains of Skopelos. Yoghurt is served with local honey, jams, a selection of Greek traditional salads, olives from Skopelos and fresh vegetables.

The tasty Greek breakfast features many traditional Greek products. Guests may choose from the a la carte breakfast, with emphasis on the “Naousa” Greek breakfast. There is fresh hot bread, butter, traditional jams and honey. In addition, there is savory “pasteli”, “anthotyro” cheese with pollen and honey, fresh and dried fruits, like plums and apricots. The homemade pies with cheese or cheese and leeks, are standard features. Recommended dishes are the “Platsinta” and “strapatsada” (scrambled eggs and tomato). As for beverages, there is natural juice, milk, tea and coffee.

Οι φιλοξενούμενοι μπορούν να απολαύσουν φρεσκοστυμμένο χυμό πορτοκάλι, αγελαδινό γιαούρτι και γάλα από τον Όλυμπο όπως και ελιές Καλαμών. Από τον μπουφέ δεν λείπουν τα δημητριακά, τα φρέσκα αυγά και ο μυρωδάτος καφές φίλτρου.
