Mrs. Aristea, the hotel owner, carefully prepares a rich home-cooked Greek breakfast for her guests using the best local ingredients, like olive oil produced on the island. The buffet style breakfast includes white and black bread, rusks and butter. There are handmade jams such as fig, quince, strawberry, orange, carrot, tomato and honey from Thasos. Fresh salads are prepared with seasonal produce, mostly from the hotel’s vegetable garden and fresh fruits are also served. Guests may treat themselves to local olives, yoghurt, scrambled eggs, dried fruits, cereals, Greek cheeses and ham. Traditional cooked dishes include “kolokythokeftedes” (zucchini balls) and fried zucchini flowers depending on the season. Sweets feature “loukoumi” (Turkish delight), homemade cake or walnut/apple pie, semolina pudding (halva), “tiganites” (Greek pancakes with honey). Hot beverages are coffee, milk and tea.

Breakfast at the Kalma features many products and traditional recipes of Santorini that alternate daily, such as “koskosela” (eggs with tomato) and pies (spinach pie, cheese pie and other handmade pies). Also served are “avgofetes” (French toast), boiled eggs, homemade cakes, spoon sweets and yoghurt. Local products such as cherry tomatoes of Santorini can be found daily. Classic breakfast staples include butter, jams, honey from Tzia, biscuits, toasted bread and fresh bread from the village bakery. Depending on the season fruits from the hotel garden are served (apricots in June, figs and grapes in August etc.)

The Village breakfast offers a wide selection of traditional dishes, starting with traditional herbal beverages, such as chamomile and “erondas”, and fresh orange juice. As for bakery products, there are various types of bread from a local bakery, “dakos” barley rusk and sesame biscuits with oil. Guests should really try the jams, such as plum with olive oil and honey, orange with verbena and strawberry. Local honey with thyme and yoghurt paired with honey or spoon sweets are also served. Other delicacies include gruyere with honey, “athotyros” cheese, “kefalotyri” cheese and the local variety of Archanes olives. The breakfast buffet also serves eggs or omelet with “apaki” (smoked pork), sausage with leek and “ksydato”. For dessert, the sweet “tiganites” (pancakes) with honey are highly recommended.

A traditional handmade breakfast with the best and freshest products on the island is served at the hotel. Some of the daily choices for guests are: Hot village style bread and homemade pies, spoon sweets made on the premises and cookies made with virgin olive oil. Guests should try the house specialities made with traditional recipes: “Poughia” (fried cheese pies) with “myzithra” cheese of Astypalea, a pinch of cinnamon and honey. There are also “Labropites” (baked cheese pies), “loukoumades” (traditional doughnuts) sprinkled with sugar and cinnamon, “Pasta Flora” jam tart, orange pie and various cakes. A selection of local cheeses (dry “anthotyro”, “ladotyri” and “myzithra”). Homemade “Ryzogalo” (rice pudding) with fresh goat’s milk. A selection of fresh fruits and vegetables, mountain tea and other herbal teas (sage, mint, spearmint and verbena.

Breakfast includes local products and fruits from the owners’ estate. Organic fruits and jams are paired with yoghurt. Herbal beverages from blueberries and linden, butter, gruyere and feta cheese, as well as cold cuts and hot olive bread, are also found on the buffet. In the winter, hot “trahanas” soup with toasted bread is offered. The “spetsofai” with local sausages, the baked omelet with organic vegetables and local sausage, the baked mushrooms and the Greek village-style pizza are worth tasting! Cretan rusks, “twisted” handmade pies with cheese or spinach, tarts with handmade jams, “ryzogalo” (rice pudding), pies with pears, apple, milk, walnuts, banana dessert with chocolate, are some of the sweet delicacies. Fresh orange juice, homemade biscuits with fresh jam, soft biscuits with brown sugar, thyme honey and dark chocolate, local milk from Thessaly and local thyme honey will acquaint guests with the products of Pelion.

The Greek breakfast starts with a selection of drinks and beverages, such as traditional Greek coffee, mountain tea from Chelmos and natural orange juice (with oranges from Achaia). There is “trahanas” (pasta) soup, various breads and dried fruits, a selection of cakes, virgin olive oil from Koroni and Kalamata type olives. The local honey, jams and spoon sweets (such as “rodozachari” made with rose petals) are recommended. Guests will find sheep’s yoghurt, feta, yellow cheese, yoghurt and cold cuts. There are boiled and fried eggs as well as various omelettes with feta, tomato and other ingredients. Fresh vegetables and fruits are also served. The pie selection (mushroom pie, cheese pie, spinach pie) and sweets like cream-filled “bougatsa”, “loukoumades” (honey dumplings), “ryzogalo” (rice pudding), walnut pie, syrupy “ravani” cake, and “pasta flora” jam tart with strawberry and apricot marmalade, are also very appetising.

Breakfast at the Kalafati starts with coffee, tea and mountain tea from the region, fresh milk, butter, traditional yoghurt from local producers and orange juice. Guests will find wheat and rye toasts, multigrain bread sticks and breadsticks with sesame, three types of cookies, biscuits, as well as white and rye bread from a traditional bakery of Itea. Spreads include handmade organic jams (strawberry, cherry, peach, apricot etc), honey from local producers and organic tahini.
Cheeses (feta and yellow cheese) and cold cuts are paired with tomatoes, cucumber and fresh fruits, mostly citrus fruits from Fokida. There are also boiled eggs, omelet, fried eggs with sausages and compotes. Recommended is the homemade milk pie, the “spiral” pie of Roumeli, the vanilla-chocolate cake baked daily on the premises, and the pasta flora jam tart with fresh jams of the season. The breakfast buffet is complete with black and green olives from Amfissa.

A rich breakfast buffet with Greek -and mostly local- products is served daily at the ELIA restaurant. Among other things guests can enjoy fresh village style bread, traditional Rhodian “ladopita” pie cooked in many ways, homemade “ryzogalo” (rice pudding) and homemade spoon sweets. There is also a selection of Greek cheeses such as gruyere from Naxos and feta from Epirus. Local eggs are cooked in various ways, including the traditional “strapatsada” (scrambled eggs and tomatoes). Guests will also find local honey and the traditional “melekounia”, (honey and nuts bar) a traditional delicacy of Rhodes.

A breakfast buffet serving many local dishes is served daily at the Iris. There is fresh bread, toasts with olive oil and oregano, cakes and cookies made on the premises. Guests may choose among fresh and dried fruits, tomatoes, various cheeses (feta, yellow and “kasseri”), yoghurt, butter, various jams, honey from local producers and tahini (sesame paste. There are eggs cooked in various ways, including the traditional “strapatsada” (scrambled eggs with tomato), various kinds of cold cuts, pies (cheese pie, pie with greens, mushroom pie), “kolobaropita” (pie with zucchinis without phyllo crust), olives from the hotel’s olive trees, “trahanas” (traditional pasta), “ryzogalo” (rice pudding), semolina pudding (halva) and tahini halva. Among the beverage selection guests may opt for various kinds of tea or “flamouri” (a herbal infusion from locally grown plants).

Guests at the Ionia Suites hotel start their day with a healthy Greek breakfast consisting of fresh local products. A variety of breads, bakery products, rusks, cakes and traditional cookies are offered. Guests should try the handmade pies (cheese pies and spinach pies) and the traditional “pie of Sfakia”, served with local thyme honey. Recommended is the honey with “tahini” (made from sesame seeds). The Cretan olive oil, olives and dairy produce take center stage. The Cretan gruyere and the “ryzogalo” (rice pudding) are not to be missed. The traditional “graviera” (gruyere) is made with fresh goat’s and sheep’s milk. There is also a choice of cold cuts, including the famous Cretan “apaki” (lean pork meat, delicious and aromatic, with a characteristic smoky taste). The fresh local eggs are cooked in various ways, including “strapatsada” (scrambled with tomato). There is a selection of jams and spoon sweets, dried nuts and fruits, as well as compotes. The fresh fruits and vegetables are supplied by local farmers and are organic.

Breakfast at the Iolida Beach consists of a wide selection of traditional delicacies, starting with varieties of bread, bread rolls, cakes, mini cream pies, apple pies and “loukoumades” (honey dumplings). The cold buffet serves full fat yoghurt, fruit salad and compote. There are cold cuts, feta cheese, fresh butter, and honey. The hot buffet serves, among other dishes, eggs “strapatsada” (scrambled with ham and tomato), saut?ed mushrooms with parsley and garlic, and village style sausages. Guests will enjoy fresh orange juice, teas, chamomile and sage. The Cretan Corner features plums, figs, apricots, walnuts, tomato, cucumber, slices of lemon, olive oil, olive oil with oregano or rosemary, rusks (mini “dakos” rusks), gruyere and “myzithra” cheese. The dessert section features sweets such as apple pie, “ravani” (syrupy semolina cake) and walnut pie.
