The breakfast buffet includes both local products and recipes as well as products from the organic farm of the Grecotel Group in Rethymno, Crete. There is baked bread, fresh local fruits and vegetables, cheeses (e.g. “ladotyri” and spreads), eggs cooked to order, including the traditional “strapatsada” (scrambled eggs and tomato). Guests may taste cold cuts from Corfu, cheese pie with honey, pies with fennel, milk pie, “ryzogalo” (rice pudding) and “pasteli” bites.
Olives and pickles, jams with pieces of fruit and spoon sweets, “sarantadendri” (beverage produced in the organic farm “”Agreco”” in Rethymno) and Greek coffee brewed the traditional way, complete the breakfast buffet.

The rich Greek breakfast buffet is based on fresh local products. The homemade corner serves freshly baked bread combined with Corfu butter and handmade jams, local herbal teas such as chamomile, mountain tea and verbena, local organic eggs and many other local products.
The Greek Breakfast setting is complete with fresh fruit juices, yoghurt mousse, “loukoumades” (honey dumplings), mini pies like the traditional “lychnarakia” and many more delicacies.

The Greco Philia Hotel offers a wide selection of traditional delicacies for breakfast. There is Greek yoghurt with honey and fresh fruits, a variety of breads, organic jams, organic honey from Ikaria, fresh orange juice, herbal beverages such as mountain tea, chamomile, “flamouri”, black tea, as well as Greek coffee. Guests should try the Mykonian eggs cooked in various ways (with local “louza” (smoked pork), or Mediterranean omelet with olives.) Pies include “bougatsa”, cheese pie, spinach pie, pie with leeks, pie with greens and orange pie. Recommended are the traditional “tiganites” (pancakes with honey, walnuts and cinnamon.) Greek products featured are Santorini capers, vegetables (spinach and fresh tomato), figs, tahini, pistachios from Egina, to name but a few. Cheeses include feta, “anthotyro”, gruyere from Naxos, “mastelo” from Chios and goat’s cheese. There is a platter of cold cuts (Mykonian “louza”, a selection of Cretan cold cuts and sausage with leek among others).

The hotel’s Greek breakfast features many fresh local ingredients. Beverages include freshly ground mastic flavored Greek coffee, herbal teas, fresh milk and fruit juices from the aromatic citrus fruits of Chios. There are many homemade bread varieties, paired with organic jams and traditional spoon sweets. There are also fresh and dried fruits such as the “pastelaria,” a delicacy made with figs, almonds, cinnamon and sesame. Also offered are cakes, mastic biscuits and local “kourkoubinia” sweet. Other traditional sweets are “ravani” syrupy semolina cake with mastic, creamy “galaktoboureko”, walnut pie, orange pie and chocolate pie. Loukoumades” (honey dumplings), “bougatsa” (custard phyllo pastry),”ryzogalo” (rice pudding) and vanilla cream are also served. The local eggs are cooked in various ways, the highlight being “strapatsada” (scrambled with tomato). There is also a selection of pies with fillings such as spinach with feta, wild greens, cheese, and mushroom. Cold cuts, cheeses like “mastelo” with fresh tomato and local olives are also served.

Breakfast at the Grand Theoni Hotel & Spa has a Mediterranean character with American and international touches. Guests will find bread from the local bakery, paired with honey and halva, butter and jam, as well as handmade cakes, fresh fruits, yoghurt. Other choices include platter with cold cuts and cheeses, boiled and fried eggs, as well as omelet. There is also the choice of tomato and cucumber, feta cheese, olive oil and olives, a variety of tea labels and coffee. Guests should also taste.

As for cheeses, there is feta, “anthotyros” and yellow cheese, paired with various cold cuts from the region.

Breakfast at the Gran Hotel Palace comprises excellent Greek dishes based on authentic recipes. Guests may taste various pies, like the crunchy cheese pie with various goat’s cheeses and the handmade “bougatsa” pie with cheese. Sesame bun (koulouri), local “kasseri” cheese, sour trahanas (pasta) with feta and fresh butter, traditional bread and olives, village style sausage, fresh Greek salad and “strapatsada” (scrambled eggs and tomato) are some of the delicacies offered.
Sweet dishes include cream-filled “bougatsa” pie, local “tsoureki” (sweet bread filled with chestnut cream) and the famous Panorama “triangles” (crunchy phyllo filled with cream). There is also semolina pudding (halva) with raisins, fluffy raisin bread, pine and flower honey, tahini spread, homemade jams and spoon sweets. The beverage selection includes, among others, pomegranate juice and juices from seasonal fruits as well as Greek coffee brewed the traditional way.

The Grand Forest Metsovo offers a wide selection of Greek dishes at its breakfast buffet. There is fresh bread every day, supplied by a traditional bakery of Metsovo, and hand made cream-filled “bougatsa”. Fresh fruit, fresh juices and fruit salads are served depending on the season. Guests should try the handmade jams, honey from Metsovo, cold cuts, cheeses, butter and yoghurt from local producers of Metsovo. There are eggs cooked in various styles, a selection of pies (cheese pie, pie with wild greens, “zymaropita”), olives and olive oil. Local specialities include hot “trahanas” (traditional pasta), “ryzogalo” (rice pudding) and “petourou” (pasta soup with butter and cheese).

The rich breakfast buffet of the Grande Bretagne hotel is served daily in the Roof Garden restaurant with breathtaking views of the Acropolis and Athens. The fresh, high quality products, are both international and Greek. The local products offered include a variety of Greek cheeses (feta, kaseri, manouri, anthotyro) as well as yoghurt, olive, pistachios, honey and jams, Greek sesame bread rings (Thessalonian koulouri), rice pudding (ryzogalo), cream-filled fyllo pastry (bougatsa), cheese pie, spinach pie, sweet egg bread (tsoureki), kaltsounia (Cretan sweet cheese pastries) and Greek coffee.
Visitors may enjoy the Greek breakfast in their rooms with a selection of fresh juices (orange, grape fruit or carrot,) a basket of baked products (bread, cheese and spinach pies, sesame bun and wholewheat mutli-grain bread.) Scrambled eggs with feta and tomato (Strapatsada), is also on the menu, as well as home made jams from Greek fruits, honey and butter.

Breakfast at the pool-front patio is an unforgettable experience. A full American buffet breakfast will satisfy every guest’s taste, but the special treats are the “Greek Flag” dishes. Guests will have the opportunity to “taste” the local culture, to come closer to Kos and its people. So, locally produced and oftenly organic ingredients are used, to create in-house, traditional delicacies that represent the special flavours of Kos.

The hotel’s Greek breakfast usually includes among others: Red-wine soft cheese, feta cheese, locally grown olives, herb infused olive oil, farmer’s cheese, a wide selection of rye and whole-wheat flavoured rusks and breads, flatbreads, mint/rosemary/mountain teas, savoury and sweet pies with homemade puff pastry, chalva and mayirya desserts, marmelades and local fruit preserves.
