Το πρωινό σερβίρεται σε μπουφέ στο εστιατόριο «Θάλεια», με θέα το απέραντο γαλάζιο του Αιγαίου και το πράσινο του κήπου. Εδώ τον πρώτο λόγο έχουν τα λεσβιακά προϊόντα, χωρίς ωστόσο να απουσιάζουν και άλλες γεύσεις. Μέλημα των ιδιοκτητών του ξενοδοχείου είναι να μένουν οι πελάτες ευχαριστημένοι διότι το πρωινό είναι η αρχή και αφού, “αρχή το ήμισυ του παντός”, η καλή μέρα από το πρωί φαίνεται.

Προσφέρονται φρέσκο ψωμί από τους φούρνους του ξενοδοχείου, λεσβιακό πρόβειο βούτυρο και σπιτικές μαρμελάδες από φρούτα του νησιού, σιμιγδαλένιος χαλβάς, μπλατζέτα με ντόπιο ελαιόλαδο, μπαλεζές και αλευριά από εκχύλισμα σύκων, κέικ, μηλόπιτα, πασταφλώρα κλπ.

Η αλμυρή γωνιά περιλαμβάνει φέτα ΠΟΠ, λαδοτύρι Μυτιλήνης, ελιές από διάφορες ντόπιες ποικιλίες, τραχανά κατά τον χειμώνα, τάραμα, σφουγγάτο, κασερόπιτα, στραπατσάδα (στην λεσβιακή ντοπιολαλιά «αυγά πάνε κι έλα»), όλα φτιαγμένα από τσυνταγές και προϊόντα της Λέσβου.

Παράλληλα προσφέρονται κρέπες (γλυκές και αλμυρές) και παρασκευές αυγών με μπέικον, ζαμπόν, σαλάμι αέρος και λουκάνικα.

The Greek Breakfast includes traditional local products such as freshly squeezed orange juice, Greek traditional yoghurt with fresh fruits from the estate and homemade wild peppermint syrup from Elikon. Guests should try the local eggs with fresh basil leaves and Cretan virgin olive oil, the handmade cookies with Cretan “raki” or the handmade cake with dried fruits. Also, worth tasting is the hot, village style bread that is baked in a traditional wood burning oven, the handmade jams made with organic fruits from estate, the pure, Cretan honey and the hotel’s own organic walnuts with Cretan honey. There is also 100% cow’s butter, seasonal handmade cheeses with local pasteurized milk, traditional Greek coffee, various mountain herbal beverages, and fresh milk. All the meals are prepared in the kitchen with extra virgin olive oil and certified local products with emphasis on the Mediterranean gastronomy.

The breakfast at Hotel Helena has a strong taste of tradition. Amongst the Greek specialities served, one should try “trahanas” (traditional pasta) with milk from Olympus, cold cuts and village style sausages from Karditsa, yoghurt, feta and “nivato” cheese from Elassona and “kasseri” cheese from Trikala. There are also apples from Agia and chestnuts from Kissavos, halvas (traditional sweet) from Farsala as well as tahini-based halvas. Other sweet treats include “loukoumi” (Turkish delight), “ryzogalo” (rice pudding), “tiganites” (pancakes with honey and walnuts), spoon sweets, dried nuts and traditional pies. All products and recipes originate from the land of Thessaly and reflect the gastronomic tradition of the region.

The Greek breakfast at the Happy Days Beach Hotel serves a wide selection of breads (wheat, multi grain, rye) and bread rolls, rusks and bread sticks. There is a variety of fresh fruits, feta cheese, traditional yoghurt, boiled eggs, “strapatsada” (scrambled eggs with tomato and cheese) and omelettes prepared in front of the guests. Guests may also try the cold cuts, the cheese pies, mushroom pies and pies with greens, the thyme honey, halva and the local olives.

The Guesthouse offers a Greek traditional breakfast cooked by the owner herself, using local, hand-picked products. Some of her specialties are: delicious apple tart, cake with cherries, “tiganites” (pancakes) with “batzo” cheese and honey from cherry flowers, omelet with “batzo” cheese and fresh oregano, yoghurt with cherry and honey syrup, refreshing apple and pomegranate juice and handmade pies, namely cheese pie or leeks pie, spinach pie with herbs from the garden, French toasts soaked in cherry juice and cherries from the garden are some of the delicacies that make up the breakfast of Hagiati. Fresh fruits are used to make real jam, and there is also local honey and fresh cow butter that pairs with fresh bread. Beverages include milk, mountain tea and linden, apple and sour cherry juice, and Greek coffee.

The Greek buffet offers freshly baked breads, butter, cookies, handmade biscuits, Greek jams, honey, and peach compote. The traditional local “otia” dessert from Pontus as well as the potato or cheese rolls (savory delicacy from Pontus) are strongly recommended. Guests may also taste a variety of dried and fresh fruits, yoghurt, “tiganites” (pancakes), black and green local olives, cold cuts, “kasseri” cheese, vegetable salad, fresh eggs, and spinach pie. Another traditional sweet delicacy that steals the show is the “bougatsa” of Serres, filled with sweet cream and sprinkled with sugar and cinnamon. The variety of handmade cakes are also worth trying. Guests may drink coffee, milk, orange juice, or tea. Depending on the time of year, there are certain sweet treats available, such as “melomakarona” (Christmas traditional sweet), “tsoureki”” (sweet bread generally offered on Easter), “loukoumi” (Turkish delight) and “karydosalamo” (traditional handmade local sweet).

The breakfast buffet at the Grikos hotel is served daily at the roof garden. It includes local products and handmade dishes prepared by the landlady. There is bread, handmade on the premises, accompanied by four types of jams that she makes herself in the summer months for her guests. Furthermore, the hotel buffet features the well known traditional round cheese pies of Patmos made with local cheeses, and there is also homemade yoghurt and fresh fruits. Breakfast is not complete without a sip of Greek traditional coffee and a bite of handmade spoon sweets.

The breakfast buffet at the Grekis Hotel includes a wide selection of traditional dishes. There is a variety of traditional breads, handmade cookies with orange, various cakes and handmade “lalaggia”. Beverages include Greek coffee, mountain tea, milk and orange juice. Guests will find fresh and dried fruits, “pasteli” (sesame and honey bar) from Messinia, butter, yoghurt, jams and honey. There is a selection of cold cuts, feta cheese, vegetables and Kalamata type olives. Guests may try boiled or fried eggs, omelet with cheese or peppers, “loukoumades” (honey dumplings), the savory or sweet “tiganites” (pancakes). Also recommended are the mini pies (with fresh tomato, garlic and cheese), the handmade fried cheese pies and the “bourekakia” (made with fried bread, tomato, “feta” cheese, slices of cucumber, yoghurt and red peppers).

The Greek breakfast buffet offers a wide selection of Greek dishes with emphasis on the fresh products of Northern Evia and Greece in general. Fresh traditional bakery products, spoon sweets, fresh fruits, tahini halva, honey, olives, feta cheese, dried figs from Taxiarchis and local “sykopastelo” (bar with dried figs) are some of the delicacies that guests can taste every day.

The breakfast buffet includes herbal beverages and teas, thyme honey and “loukoumades” (honey dumplings). Guests may start with fruit juices, “skaltsounia” (sweet treats) and village style bread.

The local breakfast at Grecotel Kos Imerial Thalasso is an integral part of the rich breakfast buffet of the hotel. Among the wide selection of drinks, fruit juices, bread, sweets, jams, yoghurt, milk, simple and complex dishes with eggs, a variety of cold cuts and cheeses, raw and fresh vegetables, fresh and dried fruits and compotes, guests will find a wide range of local products such as: “galatopita” (milk pie with local milk and semolina with crusty phyllo dough), yoghurt pie with local yoghurt, tomato sweet with almonds, “kanelada” (drink based on cinnamon), “loukoumades” (honey dumplings), “tiganites” (Greek pancakes with honey drizzle), “loukoumi” (Turkish delight) and “pasteli” (sesame and honey bar) bites, “anthotyro” cheese, traditional honey, “ryzogalo” (rice pudding) semolina pudding (halva with olive oil, raisins and cinnamon), local breads and rusks in great variety, cheese pie (crusty dough layer filled with “anthotyro” cheese) and wild greens pie. A local speciality worth trying is “Posa” cheese (fresh “myzithra” cheese dried in the sun and dipped for a long time in wine must).
