Breakfast at the Hovolo Hotel Apartments is buffet style and includes many local products and specialties. Guests will find two types of bread (wholewheat and white), butter, honey, jams, ham and cheese, boiled and fried eggs, omelettes and traditional “fouskopites” (pies). Fruit salad and compote is also served, as well as a handmade dessert, such as cake or a cream-based sweet. Guests will find olives, tomatoes, cucumber and fresh pie (e.g. cheese pie). The buffet is complete with milk, juices and various beverages (tea, coffee).

The Greek breakfast at the Hotel du Lac is served by the swimming pool and features many local delicacies. There is a variety of breads and a pie of the day, such as traditional “zymaropita”, cheese or vegetable pie. Fresh eggs are cooked in various ways, including the traditional “strapatsada” (scrambled with tomato). The cheese selection includes feta, “anthotyro” and “kasseri” and there is also yoghurt from the region. The Cretan rusk with tomato, feta, oregano, olives and olive oil is another traditional delicacy. There is also traditional “trahanas” (type of Greek pasta). Guests should also try the homemade jams, Greek honey, the tahini spread and various spoon sweets. There is also homemade apple pie or walnut pie and cakes. Other homemade sweets are “ryzogalo” (rice pudding), vanilla and chocolate cream.

The rich breakfast buffet features many traditional delicacies such as a variety of breads, “lalaggia” of Messinia, cake with olive oil, handmade cookies, local sesame cookies and barley bun. There are freshly squeezed juices, fresh fruits and vegetables, Kalamata olives and olive oil from Mani. Guests may taste strained Greek yoghurt, fresh butter, local cheeses, (feta, “manouri”, “sfela” and “katiki”) fresh milk, local cold cuts, and “syglino” (meat preserved in salt from Mani). Many types of local jams, spoon sweets, honey, tahini, handmade cereals bars, local “pasteli” (nuts and honey bar), are offered together with dried fruits and nuts. Eggs are cooked “kagiana” style (with syglino pork). There are also “tiganites” (pancakes), cream-filled “bougatsa”, The breakfast buffet offers all kinds of beverages, mountain tea and chamomile from Taygetos, as well as Greek coffee.

The Greek breakfast buffet at the Horizon Beach Resort features cold cuts and a selection of cheeses like feta and “kasseri”, “myzithra” (local product of Kos) and “anthotyro”. The fresh vegetables are mostly produced on the island Kos. There is also locally produced honey and jams.
Two local specialties are also served at breakfast: chicken and pork jelly. Spoon sweets like sour cherry, cherry, bitter orange, fig, grapes and cherry tomato are offered (local products of Kos). Guests can also try various compotes. There is a wide selection of beverages such as fresh milk, tea in various flavours and fresh juices such as orange, apple, grape fruit and sour cherry.

The breakfast buffet at the Horizon includes a wide selection of Greek dishes. Starting with a selection of breads, guests may choose among fresh vegetables (tomatoes, olives), homemade omelet with village style sausages and a variety of cheeses and cold cuts. Fresh fruits, such as pomegranates, peaches and kiwis, as well as fruit salads, are available to guests. The cream-filled “bougatsa” pie, the “pasta flora” jam tart, the syrupy “kataifi” and the traditional Greek yoghurt with thyme honey are some of the sweet delicacies are worth trying. Handmade jams and a selection of cereals complete a very filling breakfast.

The High Beach Hotel offers a wide selection of traditional dishes among its breakfast choices. The bread corner features many kinds of fresh bread and there are also fruits and fruit salad, as well as fresh vegetables from the hotel garden. Eggs are cooked in many ways and the omelettes are made to order, alongside cold cuts, grilled village style sausages, baked potatoes and steamed vegetables. Alternatively, guests may try a special herbal tea made with a mixture of Cretan herbs.

The Greek breakfast buffet at Herodion offers handmade specialities fully prepared on the premises: homestyle bread (whole wheat and/or with raisins), freshly baked pies (cheese pie Epirus-style, wild greens from Crete, ham and cheese pie) as well as “bougatsa” (custard pie), honey dumplings (loukoumades) and piroshki, a Russian pocket of dough with potato or “feta” and “anthotyro” cheese. There is also a wide selection of homemade sweets (cakes, “pasta flora” jam tart, chocolate dessert, fruit jams, traditional “ravani” (semolina cake with syrup), walnut pie and almond pie. The cheese selection has “kefalotyri” from Lesvos and feta from Epirus, gruyere and “anthotyro” from Vytina. Fresh farm eggs are cooked in three different ways (fried, boiled and scambled). There is a wide selection of beverages (about 15 types of tea), herbal teas and many types of coffees -Greek coffee brewed the traditional way. The kitchen can cater for special dietary needs upon request.

Feta cheese and fresh vegetables, such as tomatoes and cucumbers, Greek yoghurt, honey, fruit salad with fresh fruit and home made jams are permanent items on the menu. Freshly baked pies with spinach and cheese, dolled or fired eggs with sausages, a selection of cereals, croissants and seasonal fruits make for a delicious and nutritious breakfast. Every day village-style homemade pies and fresh fruits, compotes, tomatoes and olives are served. As for drinks there is natural orange juice, Greek coffee, a variety of tea and herbal beverages (sage, chamomile, linden,mountain tea) and fresh milk.

The breakfast buffet consists of products from Lesvos as well as of other top quality ingredients. Bread is baked fresh on the premises and is paired with sheep’s butter from Lesvos and homemade jams. Feta cheese, “ladotyri” cheese from Mytilene and olives from different local varieties are basic staples at the breakfast table. Traditional recipes served here are also the “sfouggato” omelet, the cheese pie with kasseri and “strapatsada” (scrambled eggs with tomato), all made with local recipes. The desserts corner features the classic semolina (pudding) halva, the “blatzeta” with olive oil of Lesvos, the “balezes” and the “alevria” with figs’ extract. These delicious local sweets are complemented with cakes, apple pie and “pasta flora” jam tart.
