Είναι σημαντικό να προβάλλονται τα ελληνικά προϊόντα, γιατί η ελληνική παραγωγή έχει να προσφέρει εξαιρετικής ποιότητας υλικά και μεγάλη ποικιλία ειδών.

Στο μπουφέ του ξενοδοχείου προσφέρονται ροφήματα (καφές, τσάι, σοκολάτα, ροφήματα από ελληνικά βότανα), φυσικός χυμός πορτοκαλιού, ποικιλίες ψωμιού που περιλαμβάνουν λευκό, ολικής αλέσεως αλλά και κρητικό ντάκο, ποικιλία δημητριακών, παραδοσιακά γλυκά του κουταλιού, φρέσκα φρούτα, γιαούρτι με αγνό ελληνικό μέλι, ξερά φρούτα (δαμάσκηνα και βερίκοκα), κομπόστες, χειροποίητα μπισκότα, τυριά και αλλαντικά, λουκάνικα και άφθονσ ελληνικά γλυκά, όπως σιμιγδαλένιος χαλβάς, μπουγάτσα, μωσαϊκό, ρυζόγαλο κ.ά. Για να καλυφθούν όλα τα γούστα, προσφέρονται αυγά με διάφορους τρόπους, σπιτικές πίτες, διάφορα λαχανικά και ελιές, αλλά και πάστα φλώρα.

The breakfast buffet at the Hotel Amalia mostly features products from Kavala and the wider region. There is selection of fresh breads, including sesame ring bun (koulouri). There is milk and yoghurt from Drama as well as cheese. Furthermore, fresh seasonal fruits, jams and traditional spoon sweets come from producers of Kavala and Thasos. The honey is also from Thasos or Kavala and olives are local as well. The traditional “bougatsa” pastry with custard cream or cheese is from Kavala. The handmade pies are from Drama. Greek coffee is roasted in Kavala and brewed in the traditional way, served with local “kourabiedes” (walnut sugar shortbreads). Mountain tea and local linden tea are also offered.

The Althea hotel’s rich breakfast buffet serves local products and dishes such as fruits, traditional bread, homemade cakes and traditional homemade pies of Zagori. Guests should try the free range eggs, the yoghurt of Zagori, homemade jams, honey, “tahini” spread, excellent cold cuts, mountain tea and fresh orange juice.

Products from local producers are featured in the rich breakfast at the Altamar Hotel, in a bid to promote Greek Breakfast. Breakfast starts with excellent quality coffee, a selection of juices and beverages, local yoghurt as well as honey from small producers of the region, homemade jams and tahini. There are also cheeses, cold cuts, freshly baked bread and savory pies (cheese pie, spinach pie or zucchini pie). Hot dishes include omelettes, boiled and fried eggs, “strapatsada” (scrambled eggs and tomato), cream-filled “bougatsa” pie and village style sausages. Guests will also find mini “dakos” rusks (with feta, olives, cherry tomatoes and gruyere, or “anthotyro” cheese with tomatoes and capers). The desserts section features homemade cakes and one of the following treats: semolina pudding (halva), “ryzogalo” (rice pudding), “ravani” (semolina cake in syrup), chocolate pie, cheese cake, apple pie and walnut pie. Finally, fresh fruits are offered depending on the season.

The Roof Garden at the Almyrida Residence offers a rich breakfast which combines Cretan, Greek and international products. For starters there is a wide selection of breads and bakery products baked at the hotel. The local cinnamon cookies, wine cookies and oil cookies, are all made with traditional recipes. The classic cheese selection is enriched by the local gruyere, the Cretan “myzithra”, the sour “anthotyros” cheese and traditional yoghurt. The cold buffet features fresh fruits, milk, “ryzogalo” (rice pudding), honey, dried fruits and jams, tomatoes, cucumbers, feta cheese, cold cuts, sweet and savory cakes. The hot buffet includes “loukoumades” (dumplings with honey), omelettes or fried/boiled eggs, fruit cakes, various pies, beans, traditional “tiganites” (pancakes), baked tomatoes with mushrooms and cheese. Cretan olive oil and olives are basic staples at the breakfast buffet. As for beverages, there is fresh fruit juice, tea and traditional beverages such as “diktamos”, “malotira” (mountain tea) and sage.

Fresh eggs from the hotel’s hens are cooked in various ways. Local yogurt, olives and olive oil complement the landlady’s famous pies, like the cheese pie made with local feta, the greens pie, as well as the sweet and savory cakes. The cold cuts platter is paired with cheese such as gruyere from Naxos and feta from Gastouni. A special homemade delicacy, “tiganopsoma” (fried dough with local honey and sesame) is highly recommended. Beverages include local milk, coffee and tea.

The Greek breakfast at the Alkyon Resort Hotel & Spa is full of traditional flavors and aromas.
Among the delicacies served, guests will find traditional pies (cheese pies and pies with greens, traditional sweet “trahanas” soup, “loukoumades” (honey dumplings), cream-filled “bougatsa” pie, home made “ryzogalo” (rice pudding), traditional halva, various cakes and homemade spoon sweets. Spreads include various homemade jams, tahini with honey, thyme honey, and there are also fruit salads, compotes, mixed fruit juices and freshly squeezed orange juice. The local eggs are cooked in a variety of ways such as “strapatsada” (scrambled with tomato).
The local dairy products such as feta, “anthotyro” cheese, sheep’s yoghurt are paired with cold cuts. Hot dishes include traditional Greek bean soup with tomato paired with olives. There is village style Vrahati bread, cookies with sesame, rusks and cheese-bread, olive-bread.
A series of beverages (mountain tea, Greek coffee) completes the breakfast offerings.
